Prebug Club
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 14 ธ.ค. 2022
Thank you for visiting. I plan to upload a single, comprehensive video of teardown and assembly of the Yamaha Zuma CW50 Prebug. Produced from 1989-2001. There are a TON of helpful videos online of everything else under the sun on these bikes, but I did not see this type of video, so I thought I would add my contribution to the community. I hope the video is helpful. Enjoy riding.
1989-2001 Yamaha Zuma Prebug Comprehensive Teardown & Assembly. BWS. MBK Booster.
This video may not be helpful for most people. In the future years I hope any new owners of a prebug can scrub through parts of this video to get familiarized with their new scooter. There are tons of videos online for carb jetting/tuning, CVT tuning, BBK, exhaust ect. Check out ScooterSwapShop, Mopboyz and other prominent people in the community.

Do you know where I can order the ignition key trim mines lost
What a wonderful video thanks so much I've been looking for this exact video lovd it!! Thank you!! ❤
Hello great video. One question is I had a key cut for my prebug and it won't turn the key when I put it in. I noticed that thw original key has a black cover for its key is that a chip or something that allows key to turn? Anyone know where I can buy another key for 1999 prebug zuma??
this has been super useful thanks
great video bro. finally someone who takes time to explain everything well enough that a beginner could follow and complete the task. its refreshing. im not a beginner but can appreciate your teaching skills. you should definitely keep it up and i'll send viewers your way. by the way nice 65 GTO behind you. i had one myself. came with a 389 tri power manifold engine. loved that car.
Dang man 750$ Is the economy really that bad rn I see them listed round here for a lot lot more ... Killing my dreams😢
I have 2000 with 620 miles. It's hard to find.
Super helpful for finding and removing the carburetor. I’m shooting it full of carb clean cuz I really don’t want to take it apart lol. Thanks a million!
Thanks so much for this specific type of video because they are incredibly hard to find for these types, +1 sub
I own a 2001 identical to the one you're working on with the decals. I got it brand new back in Sept 2001 and have loved it since. It's been in storage for about 10 years and I just got it out and am now about to overhaul it. This video is EXACTLY what I needed. Thank you!
I had a brand spanking new 2001 Yamaha zuma 50cc in 2000 when I was 14 almost 15 years old you didn’t need a plate just a permit was so great.. such a peppy scooter
This is an insanely helpful video! Great Job!
this is my favorite video on the internet right now thank you
Dude upload videos! Your instructions are very clear! A carb clean. Maybe a 70cc swap. Anything. Great job!
Bro I used to tear down these all the time and could tell you where every bolt went but that was when I was 14-20 years old. I got a 2000 that came in a box when I bought it and for the life of me couldn’t remember what bolt was what and how the wiring ran. Your video got my baby going in 2 hours! Thanks man!
Well done that man. This is just what I need, I took a 1991 apart a few years ago and now I know exactly how to re-build it. Thankyou for this video. Awesome 👌
Completed the build last week using this video. Couldn't have done it without you. Thanks again 😁
Wanna sell 1 of your many pre bugs. 😂 I have a bugeye but pre bugs are non existant In my area.
Do a bug eye version lol
This helped me SO much on my yamaha slider assembly
58:47 Where’d you get your grease?
I have a 2005 Zuma 50 with starter problems. I just replaced the battery last week and it will barely turn over the motor. I checked the terminals and the voltage is 12.8 It will kick start first try. Any ideas?
Dude make more videos!! I like your way of explaining! Maybe a carb clean or something.
Please do a video just like this one, on a 100cc BWS
Just the video I was looking for! I blew up my motor yesterday and I needed to know how to pull it apart. Your video is very informative!
I've been looking for a video like this I bought a couple of scooters to rebuild. I feel motivated watching this video ty.
Clean zuma 😍 Thank you for this video

Hello, I like your video a lot because I also have a Yamaha BWS 50. It has been in the garage for 18 years without running once. I want to get it working as best as possible and your video is helping me a lot.

We are all waiting for a new video. The question is, how are you going to top this one. Good luck and Thanks for a great video.
Hey, how about going from stock to a stock plus bike. Not looking to break sound barrier but would like to get to 45+. Thank you. Ashamed to say to how many time I watched this and I'm probably not alone
100k subs in your near furute
No idea how I stumbled on your channel, but thank you!! You’re the GOAT. No disrespect to the Scooter Swap Shop and Mop Boyz guys, but their videos are on ADHD after drinking some Red Bull. Anyway, I have a 2000 Prebug gifted from my cousin that sat under a carport for 18+ years in the Pacific Northwest. Only 479 miles on it. I don’t know WTF I’m doing. My neighbor helped me to get started. Just needed a carbonator clean & gas. I’m going to slowly upgrade stuff, so watching this right now sets me up on how-to. I’m excited! Thanks again!! 🤘🏽 Happy New Year!!
Best gift ever
Best video on TH-cam for help or reference when restoring a zuma
how were your crank seals after sitting for so long? i just picked up a 2001 w/ 60 miles on it and going thru the process of waking it up
@@hehecheesy Bad but not fucked up. Good luck on your build!
very good idea like a workshop manual on video,i have an 2006 pre bug moto gp bought from a breaker lots of parts missing but ive restored 100's of bikes over the years but i still like to watch vids like this its helped my loads even with proper workshop manuals thanks
about to start rebuilding a 01 zuma and very stoked to find this video, thank you
This is exactly what I've been looking for. I got the red one forgot the year but it won't run and I've been trying to find a reliable carb, can you recommend me one that fits? This is my first scooter.
That’s great. Have fun with it. If it’s completely stock you rebuild the current one you have or source a used OEM carb on eBay. If you are tuning and playing there is a lot of good info out there. Check out ScooterSwapShop TH-cam channel on everything you need to know.
Do this.... th-cam.com/users/shortsOW0i0pswtGU?feature=share
Nice video, subbed for more scoot content, I'm from UK have a yamaha aerox 70cc 2 stroke running pm tuning parts
Awesome build!
@@prebugclub thanks man getting there with it
hello I'm from Germany I love Yamaha zuma but unfortunately there aren't any to buy here.
probably because you are looking them up under the name zuma? For us over here they are either called MBK spirit (pre yamaha) or yamaha booster, france and belgium have lots of these
Also called BW'S ( pronounced beewizz in England)
Handy video!! I wish I could find some more prebugs around here in the mid Missouri.
Thank you. Hopefully some pop up for sale before spring!
