11:45 No Daisy. It's Newton's Law of Motion. Objects in motion stay in motion unless acted upon by another force. If you're standing atop a train and you jump, you will land in the same spot on the train. Your body was already travelling at the same speed as the train. The wind on the train moving at speed might make a bit of difference, but that's "the other force". If a fly enters your car moving at speed, it's gonna smack into the back seat or the window. But if the fly is already a passenger in the car, and the car accelerates, the fly is moving at the same speed as the car. The air inside the car is also moving at the same speed as the car. The Earth is moving through space at 66,000 MPH around the sun. The Sun itself is moving through our galaxy at 450,000 MPH. As passengers on Earth, we're also moving through space at 500K MPH. If you jump somewhere on Earth, you don't suddenly find yourself on the moon or lost in space. You come right back down to the same spot you took off from.
