How to Steam a Nine Foot Hooked Rug Runner: Beginner tip!
Is the technique to hook thin tshirt strips using a rug canvas? This video is helpful. Thank you.
I used to do all kinds of dying. Casserole, spot, marbleizing, overdye, graduated. I've been off hooking for a couple years but vow to go back this new year. I originally learned hooking from my mother when I was around eight or nine, which was about 70 years ago and have done it on and off ever since.
Thank you
Excellent video
I too look forward to your color planning process.
Any clues on how to mount a round latch hook project for hanging? Thanks.

Would you be able to share the woman or the name of her shop (on Etsy) for the labels?
Very Clyfford Still❤
I love your projects. How do you calculate how much wool and shades you need?
Hello! Thank you for this. Very helpful and I look forward to the color planning video. Is the Beach Chick pattern available? The colors are stunning, especially the sky!
Thank you so much. I’m not a complete newbie but it’s good to refresh our ideas on how to hook properly and I’m definitely interested in the colour planning video hoping you can give us info on the way we should go about it. I have a new project but I can’t start planning it..don’t know where to start. And colour choice is a big problem for me since I love all colours but I can’t guess values..I love bright colours but also the earthy ones..thanks
Nice to see you. Looking forward to seeing your progress on that huge rooster rug.
Wonderful seeing you again…
Happy to see you.😊
It's OK. Not in a rush enjoying your channel for the first time.
You tube for me
I'm here also.
Curious: Do you guys take these down and vacuum them to get the dust off them? I could see these could become quite the dirt magnets. I was thinking of putting mine in a shadow box of some sort, but I think that takes away from the actual texture of the beautiful rugs.
They look like cinnamon rolls
like your bag to hold your knitting.
Still want jack Russell pattern
Watching on FB
I have a question….i have a floor stand that I use for large punch needle but always wanted to try rug hooking. My question is , I don’t know how to buy the wool to get started. What colors how much all that ,,, and where to buy. I would appreciate your advice or ideas about getting started. Thank you!
Do you know the method of crocheting the ribbon style pieces togetherto form a standing wool rug?
Thanks for the video. I’ve done paper quilling before, but never thought to do it with Wool. As a sheep farmer, this will be a great addition to my crafts.
Can you bind any type of rug using this type of material and method?
That’s a great mask. The hair gives me lots of ideas!
Wonderful demo! I've been trying to find out how the round parts were connected, and now I know, but how are the zig-zag pieces put together to make a rug? Thanks!
Im glad you are designing your own patterns. Seems Rug hooking supplies are getting expensive. I went to DorrMill and stocked up on backing which was rug warp. Burlap now a thing of the past as it will degrade so rapidly. I only hook 100
I've been looking for the mesh tubing you are using to keep your strips tidy. Can you share where to find that? Thank you. 😊
What size thread cut did you use?
I’m here. I’m just new to rug hooking. Just happened to be doing initial research and stumbled onto your enjoyable presentation. 😊
Awwww cute

Thank you for your tutorial. I have only dyed in pans on the stove to get a mottled look. I will definitely try this the next time. I haven't tried rug hooking yet. I have been using my wool for appliqued projects. The spot dying would look lovely as well.
