เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 7 ก.พ. 2021
Welcome to the Take a Pain Check podcast, a community founded and hosted by the one and only Natasha Trehan. Our podcast is all about diving into the nitty-gritty conversations about health, relationships and everything in between when it comes to living with a chronic illness. With personal experiences from guests, we aim to create an engaging space for anyone looking for support, inspiration, and a good laugh. And we don't just stop there. By bringing together a diverse and amazing lineup of healthcare professionals and patients, we're modeling a wide variety of perspectives. This is especially crucial for those who may not have the resources to advocate for themselves. We're not here to give medical advice, but we are here to make a difference in the lives of young people and inspire them to make the most out of their journey. So join us every other Sunday at 12pm EST because you won't want to miss out on the amazing conversations and guests we have in store for you!

It means im only getting older, but i am excited to see what haves to come in the next 365 days
In all honesty, I don't really find today's generations tiktoks understandable. I mean good for all of you. But honestly I just find that all the content I consume so weird. Having said this, imagine how amazing it would be to actually have people who understand your chronic pain. I certainly can't relate, so I'm glad you all have your little Community. I really am. I just wish there was something like this here
Many of us have chronic pain! If you are of an older generation you may find our podcasts episodes more relatable!!
Many of us have chronic pain! If you are of an older generation you may find our podcasts episodes more relatable!!
And here I am at age 30 having suffered for over 15 years with both prurigo nodularis and fibromyalgia and I don't even have any basic medication to even manage it. Never mind eradicates this. What people say about America atleast you have a good healthcare system. They say it's all free under the NHS but I've never received any adequate care and I'm literally being left to rockt not being able to study your work and then I'm being f****** persecuted as well.
So I'm approaching 30 and I'm still not receiving any support whatsoever. It's the 30th of December 2024. I even spoke to a GP today and he did literally nothing to support me completely dismissing the fact that I don't even have money or food. Not everybody has the same foundations and imagine being chronically diseased including with Fibromyalgia and Prurigo Nodularis And I'm also congenitaly anosmic but I've never been diagnosed with it as despite being an NHS patient and approaching 30 years of age, I've never been seen by an ENT. I'm the epitome of someone who should never have been conceived. My father is dead. My mother had osteoarthritis and was blind in one eye, They had an age gap between them which I found utterly disgusting and they were very unhappy and they were completely mismatched and I don't to this day in the sun how and why I was born to them. Believe it or not, I don't have any specialist input from any medical professional and it has affected my ability to work, study, and live. You would not believe but each and every day days, weeks, months years time passes each night each afternoon and each day doing absolutely nothing because the correct medication and the support and the things that could be put in place have not been put in place despite my pleas for help. I understand you're all based in the US. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I would like some solidarity and support at this ongoing horrific time in my pathetic life. Unfortunately, I'm not one of these strong souls who managed to end their own lives, but there is absolutely no quality of life right now. I'm in a shared house where the landlord hasn't even given me a tenancy agreement and there is no Health care support in place whatsoever. I don't drive, I don't have money, I don't have any backup and this is absolute torture
I have not been in any paid employment for far too many years and I don't receive any employment search support and everyone else irrespective of their stage and health is unrelatable to me. I wish I was never born
I have had juvenile arthritis since I was 3
I've literally told school nurses I need to take a seat, and they asked "why?" I told them I have rheumatism, they said, "No you don't, old people get it."
This is hilarious 😂😂😂 this comment drives me nuts!
I get you I got fully diagnosed at 9 but symptoms around 6 or 7
Wow it’s took them over 3 years for me to
WAIT YOUR TELLING ME I CAN GET SEIZURES FROM MY JIA ARTHRITIS YOUR STRESSING ME OUT

I think someone who didn't give "a hoot" wouldn't bother commenting on the video 💖
It hurts any age ❤🙏🙏🙏💜💜💜💙🇺🇸
Yes but it’s different in children than older and it can be worse usually in children (my own experience)
Yes we should be in unity together to stop arthritis once and for all! Hope you've been managing okay 💖
Hmmm seems the disease knows no age? Are you in pain all day and night, are your fingers crippled, can you get any sleep with cracking and soreness at shoulder knees and toes?
it’s funny how you expect a response 😂😂
@@Matthewreynold ❤ it's funny that you think its funny lol Best Wishes Dear xo
Yes, we are!
"I was skeptical at first, but after a few weeks of using Planet Ayurveda's herbs, my daughter’s symptoms have improved significantly. I love that it’s all-natural and focuses on healing from within. Definitely recommend for anyone struggling with JRA!"
I have it too and it sucks I got it like a year ago and I couldn’t even bend my leg for 6 months

One day I was hanging on high place then I yelled "HELP"! then my friend tried to help but she couldn't carry me then I fell and I could barely walk then I went to class crying the teacher was confused why I'm crying then I went to the school's doctor then the doctor put cream on my leg then I went back to class(without the doctor) then I went to the doctor got an xray and the bones were fine but my leg hurted then the doctor said to get ankle support socks then also medicine. ✨𝔸𝕟𝕤𝕨𝕖𝕣𝕚𝕟𝕘 𝕢𝕦𝕖𝕤𝕥𝕚𝕠𝕟𝕤✨: The leg that hurted was the left leg ✨2nd answer✨: the area that hurted was my ankle.
