What is the difference between Management Information System and Master of Information System? - saw completely different syllabus on University websites.
Both are same
MSIM programs, or commonly called Masters in Information management are mostly offered by an iSchool, or by a library school. They have courses in policy, ethics, as well as technical skills like Analytics/Data science. UW, Uiuc, UT Austin, Umich are probably the best ones. Masters in Information systems are more IT oriented, with courses in project management, general business and some technical courses. Both are pretty good, but think about the location and cohort size too
@@HarshvardhanKanthode Ace is not talking about MSIM
2021 was a lucky year..however 2022 is the worst with 3X applications

Can you provide more information of NYU Tandon MS in Management Tech course....like job Prospects, i have 3 years of work experience in marketing field. Will this course benefit me?
You'll find more information on the NYU website
Bro in which college did u complete your undergraduation??
Hi, am planning for MIS admissions fall 22, want a mix of tech + mgmt course, tech mainly related to sql/database, tableau/powerbi, python. The issue is I have a gap year of 1 year after Btech (thanks to corona and my bad idea of going for MBA - CAT), post this I have 1 year of network consultant work exp. Now, networks isn't related to MIS in anyway, will this be any issue? Planning to apply: UMCP, Stevens, TAMU (ambituous though), exploring the 4th option as of now. UIC has superficial curriculum, UTD has too many students, syracuse has high fees and i didn't like it's course. NEU is too tech, can you suggest me couple of colleges? Thanks Have fine gre score (315), planning to give once again (hopefully will cross 321 mark). Pls your views
You’ve done great research already. I find Stevens too expensive for the value they provide. You can try UIUC, NYU, University of Minnesota, University of Arizona (you can try the Technology Leadership Program which is fully funded) amongst plenty of other options.
@@SriVignesh Hi, thanks for the reply. I see you found Stevens costly but applied for UoAZ ? as i have seen (i may be wrong) Stevens cost around 60k$ while UoAz 66k$ excluding living charges (consider around 700USD). And if i can ask what was ur profile? I have 315 in GRE, 1 year gap, 1.5yr of workexp, 6.79CGPA.
@@ShreyA-ms3pe I find Stevens expensive for the value they provide. I would also suggest you look deeper into the curriculum and talk to Alums. My profile- GRE 307, GPA 3.0, 2 years of work exp at the time of application.
@@SriVignesh thanks It's great to find someone who applied for MIS and is replying to my queries.

Hi Vignesh! I am an aspiring student for fall 2022 for MIS program. Your videos are helping me a lot and if possible can we connect ? Your experience of application and research could be very beneficial and worthy for me.
Is possible kindly kindly share your social media handles i would like to connect i am applying to MiS this year for fall 2022😊
hey me ass well
Is gmat applicable for MIS
is work experience really game changing in getting admit to MIS program. How much is it required. Currently I am in B.tech cse final year should I aim to get 1-2 year work ex?perience or shall I apply without work experience?
Work experience is not really a game-changer for admission. However, work exp can help you figure out your career path which is important while choosing specializations especially given that MIS is a multi-disciplinary field including tech and business.
Bro can non cs students apply for mis eg civil engineer
buddy did you had any work experience??
How can I contact u?
Feel free to write to me at srinivasavignesh96@gmail.com
I have completed bachelor's in Hotel Management and want to change my field Can I do MIS?
Anyone can choose to di MIS. You should be able to showcase that you meet the minimum requirements at the university. You can learn a few technical skills, do some internships and then apply.
On point content thanks Vignesh
Can u please make a video on MIS in Canada or MIS in USA
