@@donmaarko I'll forever wax lyrical about Penghu though I appreciate you'll need to plan some time for that if you wanted to branch out beyond the mainland. I've enjoyed the east coast around Waiao in Yilan and Taroko Gorge in Hualien. Yilan is just magnificent. I enjoyed my visit to Taichung too. I take it you've been to most of these places, except Penghu?

I’ve been to all of them apart from Penghu. I’ve wanted to go for years but never got round to finding the time. I love taroko gorge. Only been once but now it’s going to be damaged for a long time after that huge earthquake. I went to Yilan the other week. Will have a video soon but the places I went were quite random.

Taiwan's north coast is so underrated I think. Its a great option for the weekends if you live in Taipei considering what the traffic is like every weekend getting to Yilan.

I enjoyed both hotels I stayed at in Fukuoka. They were really close to the station making it good for commuting, and nice, clean and comfy. They were small, but that is standard for Japan.

@@donmaarko Yes mate i'm from dorset. Literally never heard anyone saying scran in my life until my gf learned it from a youtube video teaching her english slang. I was confused lol.

@@taipeistreetroaming I presume you must use a different word that far south then. Scran, grub, nosh, are all used often in Newcastle.

Oddly I think I liked it more because it was saltier. British food is very salty so maybe that’s why. Do you have any alternatives you could suggest?

I've wanted to go to Penghu for years, just never got around to it. Hopefully I can manage it some time. It does look fantastic.

It sounds like it could be interesting, but I don't think I have the foggiest idea about where to start with that, or how to do it so it is unlikely. Certain specialist topics, I feel like you have to really know your onions.

@@zclairehua- I feel the same, I don't think I have been there before this video since about 2014 or something and I am sure it was a lot cheaper. I really loved their signature bread, but I doubt I would stand and queue for it for ages again though. The queue can get huge!

I had to wait about 20 minutes which is crazy considering I arrived at 6:30 in the morning. I have went past there between 9am and 11am and the queue is all the way around the building at street level by the MRT. It is insane

Thanks I know most of them, I like the stacked brown sugar cakes, and my mrs loves those smaller ones with the meat inside that I think taste different to anything I have ever tasted before, it is just an odd sensation.
