Inverness Command and Control Centre was closed by the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service on the 6th December 2016. From 1947 to this very last day the Control operators in Inverness have provided an unremitting and exceptional service to the residents and visitors of the Highlands and Islands of Scotland in their time of need.

Inverness Command and Control Centre was closed on the 6th December 2016. The control staff both past and present will always be remembered for their outstanding contribution in providing assistance, during their time of need, to the residents and visitors of the Highlands and Islands Area of Scotland.

Inverness Fire Stations Sports & Social Club organised two ski trips too Cairngorm. Extreme, hairy, radical, amazing, awesome, could be used to describe the action on the mountain during those days. Fortunately gopro came along to put the pictures to the memories.

Inverness Firefighter and Clachnacuddin Legend Gordon Morrison celebrated hanging his boots up with a Testimonial football match between a Clachnacuddin Legends select and a Glasgow Rangers Legends team managed by Fernando Ricksen. The Match was also organised in aid of Motor Neurone Disease MND.
