hi I'm a beginner to the hobby and like everyone else was really taken with the 1\18 diecast model cars with all their opening parts however I was to discover that even the pre-owned was simply too expensive then I watched a video on the 1/43 scale which although many don't have opening parts but being small is easier to display plus they come with there own clear protective case I've just watched your video of the McLaren P 1 and found it to be most helpful plus I loved the car so keep up the reviews Paul new starter in 1/43 scale
Welcome to the hobby Paul! I know what you mean when it comes to budget limitations and I haven't even tried the used market scene yet. But there are enough high end brands who offer great detail at this scale which is relatively affordable. When it comes to pricey 1/18 models, I limit myself to cars that are truly special in my opinion for a personal reason. That allows me to plan for these purchases responsibly and I don't regret them either.
