If you're still early game and don't have a way to process a lot of food yet, don't be afraid to just not harvest your crops. They won't rot, and you don't have to water them once they are full grown. Then you can just harvest it as you need it. You can do the same with fruit trees, they'll store up to 5 fruits before you need to shake them. Which is really helpful for quests that need multiple fruit, but they might rot quickly.

You can plant extra fruit trees and chop them for 20 wood each! It can help in a wood emergency.

I love this game! I hope sometime in the future there’s an update so that I can continue the storyline with the same family instead of feeling forced to start over with a new family tree

Befriend the tailor early, because he'll gift you clothes you can wear or sell for lots of money.

Trade with children often. They have sand on them lots of times. I think it doesn’t cost anything and allows you to make glass quicker

I adore this game but I’m literally BEGGING for y’all to add a setting that disables animal aging! I can’t keep bawling my eyes out when my farm animals die 😭

Talk to people every time you see them so you can become friends with them and get a lot of free stuff daily!

This game is great and I have been playing for almost 2 in game years, but please fix the bugs. When I shake the bushes sometimes huge chicks come out and stick to my body until the next screen, my family hangs out on the stairs and also when my house gets upgraded it shoves everything into one corner and it’s my bed in a chest. So my chests are blocked and I can’t get to my hammer 🔨 to move anything because it’s in a chest and I have to hope the blacksmith has one for sale that day. I can’t sleep if I can’t get to my bed so I have to buy a new bed. Also I was moving my crafting bench and got glitched into the wall and couldn’t get out and then my game autosaved. These are just a few of the bugs I’ve encountered. There are more and I have pictures.

My tip. Always check with the ships captain on the weekend. Rare seeds and paint are always sold there

Bless the accessibility settings!! I like to say I have a laggy brain and it makes it really hard to play games, and there's such a stigma about "easy" modes. I was worried about the game being too hard and having to wait until mods come out to let you "cheat", but I'm so glad it comes in the base game!

I have never once heard that witches ride goats… to be fair the original witches never rode brooms either, it was popularised during the invention of halloween (not all hallows eve) originally the witches would be split into sects depending on type of magic they used whether bone, blood or familiar. Most travel was done by common method (horse and carriage etc)
