amazing and inspiring project! Thanks for presenting and sharing with all of us
@@matayoproduction1927 good to hear that. Hope you could share your works so that many photographer could make their own cameras.
hello, which is the name of the viewfinder?
@@poorpolarbear That is Leica Tri-Elmer 16-18-21 viewfinder… it has a bubble level which is so helpful to level the body during hand-held photo taking.
Maravillosa cámara!!!!🤩
@@marioherrero-c8q Thank you so much. :)
Might want to switch to the 90mm as the 70mm isn't recommended beyond 127mm format circle. The 90mm is also a faster lens. I built my own conversion (Graflex XLSW) upgrading to a German helical focus and the upgraded Schneider 47mm f5.6 Superangulon, but I sold it off in the 90's for $1000 because the Graflex/Horseman film backs, while interchangeable, prevented use of the top deck finder. It was still more of a ground glass-tripod camera and maxed out at 6x9 format. Your design avoids that issue . . .
@@leonarddaneman810 lens movement and ground glass setting is ideal for better quality of the photos so I have it with my 617 format camera. One thing I cannot ignore was it is bulky and heavy.. so this 614 format makes me easy to take photos… short helical and wide mounting areas prevent any vignetting issues, thankfully. :)
@@aaroncre Got it. Yes, that faster lens would undermine your weight parameters. But I looked up that Leica viewfinder. OUCH. $2000?
@ I went for a second hand which costed me less than 400 bucks. :)
Yes! Was waiting for this! Nice work!
Thanks a lot for waiting. Hope it was not disappointing :)

really a great job. And the camera made in wood has a very special and nice design. two questions... which kind of view finder do you use?.... and do you need a center grey filter?...
Thanks for the kind words. 1. It is Leica tri-elmar 16-18-21 viewfinder 2. Yes I need a center filter.. as 75 is too wide. :)
Beautiful camera, congrats.
Thank you so much.. love to hear it.
Bravo!
Thank you so much.
Very inspiring!
good to hear that.. that is the intend of my video clip. Thank you.
@@aaroncre You are welcome.
wow awesome
:) Thanks a lot
This is great! BTW, it’s 120 film. 120mm is not really a format. 120 is just a numbering system that Kodak designated and it just stuck. Same with 220. 220 is just 2x the length of 120. This is a ln impressive project and I can’t wait to see more!
@@Ivandotjpeg Thanks for the kind correction. I should have said “medium format”… Thank you for the kind words as well.

Great design, and you've got some really good images out of it already! Also, was the location at 7:05 in Melaka? I was there last November and had my Mamiya 645 and an old Zeiss Ikon 6x6, but I wish I'd had a camera like one of yours!
@@yetanotherbassdude I was also in Malaka in November last year. what a coincidence. However all the shots were taken in Bangkok, Thailand… I’ll bring this along whenever I travel soon.
Yeah.. it was Malaka… I thought sample images, but with ROSA-MF I took several photos there in Malaka… we should have met there… 😢
i started designing my own for printing, but ended up buying a Holga Panorama that I have since adapted a 90mm Optar to. Fight with some issues still.
@@CBarcellos 3D printing is super effective, but I stopped as the quality of the surface was still far from my taste.. it can be used as internal parts… hope you could manage to finish your project. Fingers crossed.

Damn, this lens cost over 2k 😮
The lens is getting expensive... It was about 1K when I purchased. :(
@aaroncre I believe that was your best investment just for a year!
@@Zung92 agree... in fact, I got the price cut as well.. :)
this the yt i live for! 😍
Thanks a lot.
What is that transparent plastic instead of Film to see the focus ?
That is the ground glass to see the focus... If you find how to make a ground glass there might be bunch of video clips in TH-cam... :)
I was thinking of tackling a similar project…..are you using a shutter from a medium format camera because wouldn’t you need something with a larger gate than a standard 35mm? Also if you are using the film advance from the Kodak M35, how are you dealing with the spacing of each frame since you are using 2 at a time?
super sorry for the delay in responding to your questions. I'm using large format lens shutter which integrates all the functions, such as setting aperture, shutter speed, cocking the shutter, etc. I used to use M35 film counter but the space between two shots are so vast, so I ended up using how many times I rewind the wheel (starting from 9 to 5).. it enables me to take 14-16 shoots.
Thank you for putting ideas in my head.
That is great to hear.. All the best to your works.
That choice of Music !!!
Very Cool, do you sell them?
It is just for a personal thing... thanks for the kind interest... I might consider it after my retirement... :)
This is a really cool build, i'd love to see an in depth video or buy a plan so I can do something similar.
Thanks for the kind words. I do have plan but it is not that much details, so it would not be helpful to others to follow up. I'll try to make a bit more detailed at the next projects. Thank you.

Great photography journey experience, my friend. Thank you for sharing. ❤❤❤❤
How did you choose a viewfinder? I want to do something similar but I’ll be using a 65mm lens (35mm equivalent)
As you may know angle of view equivalent to the 135mm camera, it would be easy. Depending on your budget, there are many options other there in eBay, Amazon, etc. All the best to your works and please share it.
At over $8k for an xpan, 😢 sad your depriving the community from making their own Agnes-Pan. Like having the cure for cancer and not sharing it.
It was my 3rd trial to make an alternative of Xpan and this would be the best one as of now for me. Thank you and you might give it a try.. :)
une réalisation fantastique !
One more confirmation - doesn't matter on what you shoot) Really matter - how you shoot)
Thanks for the compliment. "How you shoot" says many things to me... I always enjoy the moment in taking photos and the outcome is just an outcome... It doesn't matter the photos are of my taste or not. Once I enjoy the moment in framing and releasing the shutter, I'm happy with those.. :)

Are you from Hanoi, Vietnam?
Nope.. I'm base in Bangkok, Thailand and originally from Korea, Rep. of.
But did you any calculations to use such lens? Or you just did plug the lens and it will work? Nice job anyway
Yes I did a calculation... At first, there is a data sheet from the company (Rodenstock) on flange focal distance then actual distance should be measured by the ground glass and another camera required for setting up an infinity.

I would love a Print of the Bridge, so Surreal, exuding a catalog of stories through history, how many beings and objects have crossed it, sat beside it and spoken truths and lies, promised their lives, admired and commented on it tranquil existence, whilst evoking so many emotions, just by a vision of someone to build such a humble requirement.
@@f1remandg That is why I love the places of historical sites. Although I might not be able to see the original construction, the ruin tells a lot to me. Ayutthaya is close to my house, fortunately, just one hour driving distance, so I often go there to meet the history… Thanks for sharing your feeling and the kind words.
Beautiful! So insightful! The correct music, with the silent movie approach in exquisite surroundings of culture and history, so Good! I will be looking at your other work. Thank you, you’ve made a 73 years old reflect.

Beautiful lens…However US$1-2k 🤯 Any more affordable suggestions?
@@Jim-BobWalton It is right… Apo-Grandagon 4.5/45mm might not be a budget lens… The alternative would be Mamiya press 50mm which is also an excellent lens which also has its own helical focus by design… please google it.
What lens mount did you use? A Mamiya Press or Bronica bayonet mount? Also, you didn’t seem to have issues with achieving infinity focus. Is that because of the 45mm focal length? I assume a longer focal length would require a greater film to flange distance
@@Jim-BobWalton It is a combination of lens mount but it is mainly Hasselblad V system mount and in case there is no film inside (for storage purposes), I can detach the lens and store them in a compact way…. Yes right the longer focal length lens has longer flange focal distance so the length of the tip of the lens to the body would be longer…
