I love this knife so much I bought another one a year later knowing that did raise their price. The two I bought didn't smell at all the only thing I can think of is somebody at the Chinese Factory sprayed it with perfume perfume. I would highly recommend this knife for somebody's first button lock knife. As I said I bought two of them years apart and they came shop right out of the box

I got one for 6.99 at Menards. They are solid, rugged, and built like a tank ready for any task. I did attached a land yard to go around my wrist for they are somewhat slippery being the handle is aluminum. What a bargain of a knife.

I don't know if you realize this, but just a heads-up, your green mat has a clearly marked 1"X1" grid pattern. Just rip open that fancy box, slap that knife down on the matt, and behold, you're all measured up.

Quickest draw is always a fixed blade. Switched to fixed about 7 years ago. And you always get more blade for your money.
