    I pretty much never comment on YT vids but this was so good it warranted a shoutout. 1st, the content itself is perfect. Exactly what I was looking for. 2nd, the format, pacing, narration, and overall style is perfect. Extremely readable, focused and not overly verbose. 3rd. Thank you for not opening with a "what's up guys?" and then mugging on camera for a couple minutes so you can attach your personality to your YT brand. Just great content delivered clearly and parsimoniously. Much appreciated. Lastly, not sure if the narration is you or an AI narrator but I like it! Subscribing now!

    i wouldn't say i need it to write down to-dos and tasks. I'm looking for a software i can use while learning a new subject that can help me break down that subject and show a mindmap to see the links of sub-ideas within the subject.

    Can you make a video how to link ollama to amplenote. I ahve installed ollama in my system and it is running in powershell. But how do i link it to amplenote. By the way i have gemma 2b model of ollama

    • @SivWUK
      @SivWUK 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I am building my own interface to Ollama using Obsidian. But I followed the instructions below in AmpleNote and I could get it to work with mistral. "To use the plugin with Ollama, start by installing Ollama from its download link. Then install an LLM using ollama run, for example, ollama run mistral (we have found that "mistral" seems to offer the best results as of early 2024). After Ollama is installed, you will need to stop the resident Ollama server (click Ollama icon in your toolbar and choose "Quit"), then open a console and run OLLAMA_ORIGINS=plugins.amplenote.com ollama serve. You can test that your Ollama server has been started correctly by invoking Quick Open and running "Look up available Ollama models." If it doesn't work, run ps aux | grep ollama in console to find existing Ollama servers, and kill those before re-running the command with OLLAMA_ORIGINS specified." The only thing I did different was add mistral in the following Account Settings->plugin ->AmpleAI->Settings->Preferred AI Model I got that from the Plugin Example "Accepts a comma-delimited list of preferred models. E.g., gpt-4-1106-preview, mistral. If blank, defaults to gpt-4-1106-preview."

      Based on my friends feedback Amplenote it is easier to pick up and get started with. For the ones that want to start customising their workflow Obsidian is a better option. At the end of the day I want people to start creating PKMS and keep maintaining for a long time so anything that reduces the friction is great in my opinion!

    Thank you very much for these Videos. No fluff and a working system in less than 10 minutes! Way better content than most of the larger productivity TH-camrs in my opinion. Only thing I changed is calling step one a collection of ideas instead of a mind map. I read a book from Tony Buzan, and he really emphasizes creating the map in a non-linear way using colours and pictures to activate both sides of the brain and engage with the topic more. Writing it down in a list style will not really do that. I added creating a mind map by hand at the end of every revision note, together with the Feynman technique.
