Mustang GTD Application!
มุมมอง 5815 หลายเดือนก่อน
As of August 30th, my old man was picked! It's a long shot, but he'll try to get it in '96 Mystic like his Cobra This is my Dad's application video for the new Mustang GTD. No, he's not an Internet influencer, but he is one of Ford's most die hard fans and has a serious Mustang collection to boot. Hopefully Ford picks him and one of these cars can go to a true fan and not be flipped for profit ...
1979 Bonneville after rebuilding the carbs
มุมมอง 1886 หลายเดือนก่อน
I bought this supposedly functioning, but 1,000 kicks and a cramped calf muscle said otherwise. I rebuilt the gummed up carbs and this is how it cold started while it was 50° out.. I read to turn the cold start on, give it three priming kicks, turn the ignition on, hold at 1/3 throttle and kick it. I'm not sure if that's standard, but works every time! Bonus stall at the end!

Quick test; had to repair stripped head threads for the oil cooler line thanks to the local Honda dealer. No leaks!

Did he end up getting an allocation?
@@edhildenbrand232 Nope!
@@mccleary444 that sucks! Sorry to hear. So many ppl are life long die hard lovers and enthusiasts of a manufacturer and end up getting skipped over for others that are less deserving. Not just Ford so many others too!
@@edhildenbrand232 He was picked today :)
Awesome bike!! A friend of mine in the UK had the same bike and colour. He's still got it now to this day. 👍👍
MYSTICHROME
Word is that the owners will get to pick the color of their choice and we were hoping they'd do the same Mystic as they used on the '96 Cobra we own (1st owner less than 2k miles)
I think your dad had enough fords. Let someone else have a shot at owning one.
The application is for loyal Ford fans. If you want a Ford there's plenty of them for sale at your local dealership.
He definitely deserves one of those. He is truly a Ford Mustang fanatic 👍🏽I think it’s awesome that he is dedicated and I know he will get one.Remember some people don’t even or never had a Mustang in their lifetime and applied.Good luck but you won’t need it I support you 100%.When you get one shoot me a video.👍🏽
Where does the Sensor go?
On the inside of the header pipe behind the muffler heat guard. Pop those two screws off the heat shield and the sensor is right there. imgur.com/gallery/sIQCJjd
I have the same bike. I removed the stock left and right handlebar switches and now just have a Pingel kill switch and horn button. Mount a modern voltage regulator for the Zener/Rectifier on the bottom front of the rear fender. Lose the Lucas electronic if it’s still on it.and throw it in the trash with the other junk. Love my 79 better than my earlier ones. Good luck
Doesn't look as good as the OE pipes.
need to clean my carb
Bought one new, same color. Lot's of ability to improve, Progressive fork rings, Burak By Products carb kit, Fox rear shox, Bub mufflers, etc. One of the top 3 bikes I've owned. Enjoy.
I became familiar with the factory Amal MK2's on day one. They seen temperamental
@@mccleary444 I had the "Burak By Products" on my 79, full kit including new slides, jets, needles, etc. Turn key, one kick starter after installation with Bub Commando mufflers. I believe they're still in business in Cal. Joe Minton of "Motorcyclist" Mag did a article with all the mods, great read and info.
Very nice! Back in 1979 I didn't have any money but I at least got to test ride this model year when it was new.
That's why my Dad rides a Triumph now! He grew up always wanting a British bike but couldn't afford it!
These are the last of the cool triumphs. can still find good deals on these!
Sounds healthy!
Wow dream bike ❤
Sounds so good! Is it the zard Racing or the „eu“ version? Without DB killer?
How can I contact you? can you send me your email address? I'm interested in the car!
