For someone who doesn’t make smart financial decisions, this was certainly a decorative option. I made it to the end. I’m only wondering now, since you say, you don’t make smart financial decisions, why you chose to make the financially smart decision not to just purchase the screen that would’ve saved you well, everything.or should that be a?

Your first attempt at cutting out the bezel with the hand saw, looks like me whenever I try to make anything. I don't have a lot of tools, and I'm not good at making things, but in my head, I always think "This is something simple, it shouldn't be any problem to make it nice and neat." THen when I actually try to make it, I can't get a straight, clean cut to save my life.

to be honest...as you said..there is so many terrible unnecessary misery in this video haha...you really wanna torture yourself LOL...3D printed version ALONE already look perfect haha..that wood just out of places and that extra depth make it look worse haha...touch screen vs clarity..personal preference and maybe okay? and that bulky USB....you can easily find tiny 90° angled cable and etc.

How did you wire up the lcd panel? I'm interested in doing this.

I picked up a Bladrunner x2 a few years ago for $30 at a flea market. It's been pretty handy for stuff just like that bezel. I hardly ever use my actual jigsaw( cause it's older than me and tired with a 3" cable.)

Your problems in the beginning were because of the wood grain, at 5:20 the bezel was moving back and forth on with the grain so it quickly weakened and broke. At 6:00 you were going against the grain with the router which led to it pulling the piece off, if you had gone with the grain for that corner it would have been fine. Also, another tip, if you're working with a thin enough piece of wood you can score it with a knife and break the excess off instead of using a saw.
