Intent-Based Leadership MasterClass
On the 3rd and 4th October 2024 I will be facilitating an Intent-Based Leadership Masterclass.
The purpose will be to share ideas on language that inhibit or enhance psychological safety and discover approaches to improve decision making in the knowledge age.

Basically this is a workshop that I have run a few times, once with L. David Marquet himself, where we use case studies and movies as examples of leadership language that is beneficial. We will cover
- Origin Story of David Marquet (Turn the Ship Around)
- Red and Blue Work
- 6 Principles of IBL
- Ladder of Leadership.
The intended outcome is that you will be able to identify language that has its legacy from the industrial age and limits the ability for people to think and decide for themselves, and an appropriate alternative.

This week I was helping a community of Scrum Masters, helping them articulate the Scrum Framework. Recently the Scrum Guide has been updated and while some of the new stuff is captured here, old habits die hard. I think it is a great practice to continue to run this exercise even for seasoned Scrum Masters.
