    Any re- do of “…Phantom…” Needs ALL Ace dialogue restored and the one authentic Peter voiced line from the TV commercial. More live clips (like the Alive II promo, etc) in the first 3rd of the film to build up that KISS are coming and are the Hottest Band in the world….

    As much as I love She and Ace’s solo but I don’t know if any of you are Doors fans but the solo is almost exactly the solo from a song called Five To One on the album Waiting For The Sun. If you don’t know it you should look into it and check it 😁

    I actually really LIKE Kissin'Time!! While not 'essential' or 'Kritical'.. I think it kicks ass for what it is.. And they hated it.. all 4 of them were unified in that stance. They were all pissed at Bogart for lying to them . Told them it was just gonna be a quick radio spot for the kissing contest and it wasn't gonna be released... then he released it..

    Love the Hotter Than Hell album, wish the production was a little better, specifically the drums. They sound so flat and in the background to me. All that said, I wouldn't want them to remix or re-record it, it's classic as-is warts and all. Always thought "Comin' Home" should have been the opening track, Got to Choose is an odd choice IMO

    I’ve always considered DTK to be my favourite KISS album (and cover art too) but lately HTH has been a serious contender for my top spot. ‘Goin’ Blind’ and ‘Parasite’ get “Kritical KISS” status to any KISS fan who hit their teens in the 90’s, thanks to the Melvins and Anthrax 🤘 ‘All The Way’ may be the deepest of makeup era deep cuts (and a great one too) and the anomaly that is Gene’s costume on the back cover is fascinating to me.

    • @KriticalKISS
      @KriticalKISS หลายเดือนก่อน

      I’m excited to see how DTK stacks up in comparison to this one with the 3 of us. A man of class and taste, “All The Way” is a catchy tune. I don’t know why it’s so overlooked.

    Who wrote and performed the theme song? Trivia - I believe the song was "Watchin' You" if I remember correctly. Wasn't something like only 10 or 12 individuals at the the concert? Or do I have my facts wrong? Also, was the venue called Popcorn Club when Kiss played there in 1973?

    Thanks for doing this! I think this album would get more love if it wasn’t for Alive! So, having said that, I don’t think it’s “Kritical”. I do really like Cold Gin from this album. A major misstep for me was releasing Nothin’ To Lose as the lead off single. Stutter or Deuce should’ve been the first single.

      @@KriticalKISS ok i will preach it. I'm from Melbourne Australia and we experienced Beatlemania when Kiss toured in 1980. To us Kiss was prime with Dynasty and Unmasked. And Eric Carr was the true drummer. Its with retrospect I got to listen to the earlier music. I find the first 2 albums down and dirty and hungry.

  • @Daiv-l9g
    @Daiv-l9g หลายเดือนก่อน

    My favorite Kiss album next to Kiss Alive. A lot of people knock it's production. I love it's dark, dirty, recorded in a basement sound. I love every song on it. Peter Criss was a fantastic drummer regardless of what his hater's say. Most of them probably can't play drums anyway. Listen to his 100,000 years drum solo off of the "Stoned in Paris" bootleg. It's even better than the one on Kiss Alive ! He also had the best voice in Kiss along with Paul. Ace was a phenomenal player back in the 70's and 80's too ! Not only did he write songs like Parasite, Shock me, and Cold gin but he also created the most memorable solo's of all the Kiss guitarists that came after him ! Paul and Gene were great song writers and underrated as players too. They had a great work ethic and drive for success. HTH was a Kick ass album !! The original Kiss was a force to be reckoned with between 1973 and 1977 !!! 🔥🤘🎸🎸🎸🥁
