Hi, I have a problem with my brake lights, I drive a 2012 Peugeot 508 1.6 diesel. My brake lights are constantly on all the time when the weather gets cold. Hand brake is down and foot off the brake and they are still on. I brought the car to my local Peugeot garage in Navan and still the problem persist. I have replaced the brake switch twice. It is have a very serious impact on my driving and to the people driving behind me. Can you help me where the problem lies? Do Brake lights, clutch and cruise control switches work in tandem or are they separate issues?

Got same issue brought a resister made no difference is there a fuse for the heaters

Hnad tight and call it a day. We are long past these type of wheel bearings. Nowdays we crank those axle nuts on with a powerful torq gun. This guy is working on antique cars!

i wanted to change my glow plugs today. The 1st 3 came out ok , then the last one i had the same squeak like you , i turned and turned but would not come out at all. Now i think i ruined the threat from the glow plug itself ?? i could get out out i would say half way ? The car started but i am scared to drive ?? What can i do ??

What causes inner tyre wear please

I have this exact noise on Ford 1.6 TDCI, it makes the noise when foot is off the clutch and disappears when the clutch is depressed. That right? I hope so because I'm planning on doing clutch and DMF soon, but gearbox issues are outside of skillset.

It depends on the car. Some rear axle nuts require 280 nm or more where other require 110 nm. Always check with the factory specs. Assuming creates more problems than it solves.

Thanks for this, BTW tap a 10mm socket into a piece of 1/2" copper pipe 4 or 5" long. You have made the perfect tool for extracting the 2 awkward nuts. Hope this helps someone out.

I use my impact gun and never a problem. Most of these nut's go on at a whopping 130 ft lbs.

what a flippin performance , the used market from 6 months old to to say 10 yr olds must be rife with clocked motors . The amount of work when seeing a so called good deal is well offputting. Just watched rip off britain bought from a very reputable used car supermarket a nice car that after a month or 3 the owner had problems , It showed low mileage when bought as 2 nd owner . Turned out that could have done 3 times that. No one wanted to buy it and took loads of time and agg for the car company that sold it to him to eventually take it back . He got paid out at just above MV , NEXT went to auction ( was bought there by a used car sales with the clocked mileage notice on) and was then sold on again retail, all shiny a 3 mth warranty but with still a clocked lower mileage .

I driver vw polo 1.6,the number plate ,fog and reverse lights are not working but both wires(positive & negetive ) has power.as i know only one wire must have power.I don't know what will be problem.

The solution is to NEVER buy Nissan! They're shxt cars now! Used to be good in the 90s. They've merged with Peugot and have since become shxt!!!!

I have the same problem on my Citroen c1.. I naively changed the first sensor to no avail! Then I discovered by reading carefully that the error it detects was rightly the second sensor... I read that many solve the problem with an adapter with a cylindrical catalyst inside! It practically distances the second probe from the direct exhaust of fumes, giving a more stable value to the ECU! All this serves to avoid changing the catalyst which no longer work! Sorry for my anglish i use Google traduttore!

So I had a 53 plate mini cooper. The back wipers were broken because someone stole the badge and this caused water damage to the motor. I recently replaced all tyres and the exhaust. Someone totalled it while parked lol. So I went to buy another. I bought an 02. I’ve had it 3 days? The thermostat has gone and the wipers broke MID TORRENTIAL RAIN😂 here’s to hoping I can get my broke car back to use the parts before it hammers down again and I have to drive 😂😂😂
