Hey Brother, your numbers make sense. Let me elaborate: The 3090 has 35.58 TFlops while the 3080Ti has 34.10 TFlops. That's about 4% in TFlops but that does not mean 4% more frames. The general concensus is that the RTX3090 performs around 1-4% better than the RTX 3080Ti. There is a 1.1% frame gain between 107.2 and 106 frames. Which comes handy when editing and rendering. For gaming, the 3080Ti is a better bang for buck. have a great day :D

@@kingkaldo Ok. how about the CPUs? For gaming (especially at hires) X3D gain is insignificant unless doing some content creation or video editing as well. For normal usage or gaming at 4K, any lower end CPU would just be fine.

@@Hyperion1722 we can take claim by claim for this. You are right but I would like to elaborate. - X3D gain is insignificant: yes and no, games can be frequency dependent or cache dependent. Simulation games like factorio benefit massively from the cache. I would say that at 1080p the gains are massive. We can move on to the other. - at hi-res (greater than 1080p) X3D gains: in this case, at high res we typically become gpu-bound ( GPU is at 100%) so naturally we are getting all the frames that the gpu can put out and not putting so much stress on the CPU. To conclude, the more you can go up in resolution, the more you can get out of old cpu's because you are removing load from the cpu since the gpu is at 100%. Also, your CPU is a very good CPU and you should be set for at least 4-6 years of gaming, even more possibly :D

@@kingkaldo Ryzen 7700 is amazing. maybe i won the silicon lottery as i can have pbo setup at -40 all cores (5.5ghz boost clock), memory OC at 6400 mhz and multiplier set at 2167mhz. Just waiting for a zen6 upgrade. Zen5 is not worth it for my casual desktop use both in gaming (1440p/4k res) and normal browsing - no content creation etc.

there are a lot of things going on with apex. cheaters, no competitive integrity and aim assist being overpowered (still) makes it a not so fun game. I agree that it is one of the best if not the best game for movement showcases but at the same time, I have been on and off apex in the last 5 years or so. I think I will be learning other games, Smite 2, Deadlock, maybe even warzone for a bit. I typically play a bunch of games but apex ranked grind takes most of the time . Expect content from other games, new hardware, tech stuff. Thank you for your comment :D

There is some truth to that. I myself was scared of getting into one of these X3D chips. I think the initial experience was somewhat bad because the 'windows os' scheduler was not optimized. But after using them, I have not have a complaint from my CPU, I do see that most games use the X3D chip by default. Sometimes, the second CCD can get 'parked', more like set to 1% if nothing else requires more cores. Interestingly enough, when you have these dual CCD chips, you need to set your power plan as balanced so the windows scheduler works better. This is an AMD recommendation (official). The possible performance hit is real when compared to a 7800X3D but in some other games the 7950X3D leaps forward. The main reason for me to get this 7950X3D was because of my rendering times for videos like this. Overall, my experience has been very positive.

@@ghost-td2qx to the contrary my friend. The bottleneck should always be on the GPU, that way you know you are getting 100% out of it. Also , YoY improvements on GPUs are typically double digits (xx%). Meanwhile CPUs are in the single digits. One of the best investments you can make is to get the best CPU and delay the purchase of a GPU as much as you possibly can to get the maximum performance increase. It also depends on the game. WH40K is heavily CPU dependent ( to put an example). I believe the 4080/4090 starts to cap out around 110 frames because of the CPU limitation . It’s a debatable topic for sure! I got this CPU because it sped up my rendering times by 7X! I appreciate the comment as well!

@@kingkaldo I did not install any thing but I have activated DLSS but it make no difference with it or with out and I have arround 120 fps but when my cpu overeat I have 70-90 fps

I will probably will have to do an optimized version video. I mentioned all ultra, no upscalers. Yes, I know you can get more frames but its a more consistent way to benchmark. Nice setup btw

@smatharoo9327 yes, with the use of optimized settings and 'upscalers' (DLSS, FSR, XeSS) you can get more frames. The idea of the video is to share what max settings look like on native resolution. No upscaling. On another note, I personally do not like upscalers for competitive games since it tends to blur/lose details on the outer parts of the rendered-frame. I rather lower settings to stabilize the framerate and frametime. For campaigns, I do try to go max native and if the framerate is lower than 60, I will use upscalers.

@@landenbeat those are great numbers! I did mention all in max/ultra. I did not want to optimize for multiplayer as I do for other games as I wanted to bench at max !

Hey Christian, good question. The memes around the new AMD lunch is that the performance increase is somewhat minimal and pricier. They are better but maybe if they kept the same pricing. The smart move today is take advantage of pricing on 7000 series. If you only do gaming --> 7800X3D. If you do video editing, gaming, extra stuff, --> 7950X3D. The 9950X would be a direct competitor to the 7950X (to not be confused with 7950X3D).

It’s good that you made it work . This video is probably a bit outdated because as far as I read recently , the last cemu version is like a beta and it is not really easy to set this up. I strongly recommend using a mouse and keyboard and opening the game directly on game mode and with the mkb fix the setting in game .

Thank you Juan! I agree that them receiving “AAA” games is good for everyone. I don’t think they will release a standalone device as the iPhone is that device in my opinion. They also happen to be the 3rd biggest gaming revenue so no need to invest more. The issue with ARM and x86 is the conversion layer. x86 is still leaps and bounds ahead in terms of technology, arm is showing promise but there will always have to be a conversion layer that hits performance/visuals greatly. I think cloud gaming will get to that experience faster than native arm games 😃

@@kingkaldo yes Aldo I just hope they release something more gaming focused but as you said, they won't. Regarding ARM I like the push because of the lower power consumption, Apple since the M1 has done amazing strides to catch up with x86. I feel that a Switch like handheld with that tech would be really nice.
