Packard Merlin Motion Study for Crankshaft, with Pistons Added.
I've finished the connecting rods and enough of the piston to do a motion study with them. I found that at 30 RPM the pistons would glitch, but slowing the motor down to 20 RPM took care of the problem. I lengthened it to 20 second to make up for it. I also had to lower the compression quality, too.

I've completed the crankshaft assembly 620750 and re-ran the motion simulation. It looks better with the gear on the front this time.

I distracted myself from the heads this weekend by knocking out the crankshaft and it's related top level assembly.
Mould King 17007 Crane front truck wheels all turn at the same time.

I tried making a 6 strand rope but one thread broke pretty early on. So I am making a 5 strand rope using Gutermann Synthetic.

I haven't started mine yet due to a blown out shoulder, but the 46lb box seems promising. I'm really excited to build this. Edit: watch those differentials as occasionally instructions get things backwards. I'd hate to see ya get all the way to the end and have some spin backwards.
Did you finish building it? I want it for Christmas but I don't know how the final result will look like
@@sventura-nostre1341 It's a great display piece. Everything does function but isn't very strong. I also modified the Y attachment to make it stronger, added the tensioner straps from the ends of the Y to the base of the boom and added a few more counter weights. All in all, it was a really fun build and does look very impressive.
