The Pirates were crowned Essex County Champions for the 11th time with 10 medalists and four first place finishes.

Basketball improved to 11-2 with a 66-50 win over Arts on Thursday night at Tracey Gym (SHP). Anthony Gonzalez '27 led the way with 20p/8a/5r. The Pirates face top-ranked St. Peter's Prep next, on Saturday Jan. 18th at Caldwell University (4:30pm).

The Pirates took down St. Peter's Prep 3-2 at American Dream Mall on Sunday night in front of a packed crowd.

SHP bowling stays hot with a 7-0 victory over Caldwell. Gnecco ‘26, Dragone ‘25, and Maiella ‘27 all bowled 600 series. Peyton Reynolds ‘28 led all scoring with a 237 high game.

A 28-6 run in the third quarter helped The Pirates beat Payne Tech, improving to 8-1 on the season.

The Pirates went 1-4 as a team at the 2025 Catholic Duals at CBA, competing against Delbarton, St Augustine, St John Vianney, Red Bank Catholic and DePaul Catholic. We look to improve on the road this Wednesday as we take on conference opponent Cedar Grove.

The Pirates went 2-0 on their trip to Maryland for the Governors Challenge, winning the Bracket 12 Championship.

Clark Rich ‘25 captured 4th place, Nick Orejola ‘25 & Andre Morero ‘26 both captured 6th in the last day of the Sam Cali Tournament. The team looks to improve during our next competition at the Catholic Duals at CBA.
