Aren't you pressing against rotor? Wouldn't that scratch it up?

Cover those plastic threads in die electric grease, or petroleum jelly, vasoline, dow corning valve 111. Etc. it will make it open like butter next time. And no corrosion.

Is that the 2.5 motor(4 cylinder) or the V6??

Great video. I made the mistake of changing the trans fluid and filter on my 2015 Caravan with 138,000 miles (first fluid change). Needless to say, a couple of weeks later it started slipping. I'm tempted to put the old fluid back in to see what happens. I'm assuming that I need a new transmission. I'm told it will cost $4,000 to $6,000. I think the Blue Book value on the vehicle is only around $5000, so it might be time to bite the bullet and put that money towards a new vehicle. 9 years old and never an issue until I decided to "fix" it. Does the estimate for repairs sound reasonable?

Thanks for this video and the HQ close up footage of this because I'm just about to put in a replacement in my 2010 FWD, exact same I think. Had a 2011 4WD last year, transmission blew at 240k, bought this used FWD one and I got 11 months and 40k miles out of it. Same exact issue, sudden transmission failure. Checked solenoids and they all engage. So I got a JDM 60k miles used one coming for $950 shipped, so if it's easy to get in there and hooked up, get ECU relearned, runs and drives, not too shabby. Question though, I was just going to take off the front support brace like you do and jack it down with a floor jack. You think I can get away with doing that? I don't think it weighs more than like 180lbs max so if there is clearance I think I can manage

Muy buen trabajo, tengo una Acadia 2010 hace 1 año se desgastaron 7 dientes del aro dentado (volante), tuvieron que bajar transmisión al igual que aquí. Me cobraron 5,000 pesos aproximado unos 250 dólares. Pero es un precio muy barato a comparación de lo que tienen que hacer. Saludos

Hey bud, this is a great video; no nonsense. Thanks for putting it out. I've got a question that I wouldn't mind your thoughts on. I'm doing a frame swap to add 4WD(manual/stick shift) to my 2WD(also a manual transmission/stick shift). Is there a difference in the frames? My donor is auto with a manual 4x4 and my current truck is manual without 4x4. These are both identical year and model 2003 Dodge Ram 2500 V10 otherwise(there even both SLTs).

From here looks like you could have just as easily cut the bolt with that tool and not the hose
