Bell and Howell Filmosound 2585-A 16MM Projector Belt Problem?
Belt keeps slipping on this projector I just picked up at a resale shop. Trying to diagnose.

Picked up this B&H 2585-A 16mm projector and its running rough. Belt seems to be slipping, cracked worm-gear (need to confirm). May turn this into a restoration project. I know this is not for the faint of heart.

    Needs a belt, that's it

    put a new belt on it , its stretched .

    Wrap 7 turns of welding tape on the motor shaft and secure the belt to it

    For me it sounds like a bad worm gear you're having

    At this time I am putting my 2585 projector back together. Yes had a belt problem and also a worm gear replacement. Not to mention a good cleaning. Thanks for this short clip bout the belt.
