Ex-Goldman Sachs Investment Banker and Venture Capitalist
Hi, I'm Peter! My goal is to to help you get your dream banking job and build a more financially and personally fulfilling career. Way back at Berkeley, I ended up getting 9 investment banking offers and joined Goldman Sachs in the TMT group. From there I got offers from Carlyle and different VC funds and joined a $2Bn VC Fund on Sand Hill. After pursuing my dream to be a musician in LA and recording my album at Prince's LA Studio, I eventually became a Vice President at a VC Fund in San Francisco. These days I get a lot of fulfillment out of coaching people to go after their dream jobs and build meaningful careers and lives.

How do u fit 6-10 internships in the resume tho?
What is this cut of meat called?
Dumbo down under the Manhattan Bridge. There’s a pastrami place. It’s all right, but in Arizona Lukes is the best Lucas!in Los Angeles, California TOMMY’s burgers in LA and Johnny’s are super great pastrami. And Tucson Arizona Lukes is the best. And Luckys!,
Dumbo restaurants. Down under the Manhattan Bridge there’s a pastrami, place there. It’s not so great.
Black pepper pastrami is soooooo gooddddd
Another great video! Your channel’s really helped me in my journey at uni, was able to land my first IB internship in winter 2025 (live in Australia) in part thanks to your guidance. A video on how you went about networking would be great if you have the time, keep up the awesome work! You’re helping a lot more people than you know with your channel.
May I know what kind of first degree did you do?
@ bachelor of commerce majoring in finance and business law
Hey Peter, Great video! I was wondering what college you attended?
Hey Loris - I went to UC Berkeley!
I'm not from a target school.is it means I can't become a wall street investment banker?😢
Definitely harder but it can be potentially doable if you boost on GPA, finance internships, and networking. If you're at a non target school look up alumni at banks to see their path to banking (internships etc.) and email them for an informational interview to ask about their career path to banking.
Mr.Peter, I am going to select my bachelor's degree, and I want to know that clearly, What is the best degree to get into investment banking? I mean, what kind of major has a better opportunity than others to get into investment banking? Is it a bachelor's degree in finance or economics or STEM degrees? Someone says STEM degrees have a better opportunity. Someone says finance degree has a better opportunity Stuff like that. I want to know that clearly I want to work at investment banking division at Wall Street Investment Bank. So, what is the best major to do?
I talked about this in that other short. For finance jobs Business/Finance is good. For CS jobs STEM CS is good. They can still be good for finance too if you have finance internships and a high GPA. My suggestion would be to look up bankers from your University on linkedin and see what they majored in and that will also give you a sense of who you can reach out to to ask them for advice on their career path to banking from your specific school.
@PeterSu well I hope to do an economics major or a finance major but somebody says STEM are better its a big problem for me so I asked you is there a better opportunity to a stem degree holder than a eco/finance holder when being a investment banker in investment banking division(M&A,IPO stuff like that)?
i hate that they trim the bark off, pisses me off.
well add some cellphones and other electronics which will be around a basic home studio and then tell me which one gives you quality sound without hearing buzzing and jarring noises.
I def had all that around. Interestingly I didn't pick up on it bc I think my MacBook fan was louder xp
Crazy this ultra trained cutter cut the crust piece off and disposed of it
Let me lick that cutting board
I once worked in a deli like this and would have to cut meat this thin w these exact tools. Took about 1 week to do it🤦🏽♂️ but keep paying 40 dollars for a sandwich
Brain surgery is difficult to learn and master. Slicing steak thin is about as difficult as wiping your buttocks after pooping
Why did you throw those charred In Pieces away those are the best parts the most delicious part of the cut why would you waste it like that
Come on. Its not rocket science.
It 100% is as easy as it looks. It’s cutting meat 😂
One more for the bucket list.
It’s easy
Why did he slide best part off cutting table?
More mustard.
Katz is way over priced
which country has the lowest working hours as investment banker?
Haha loaded question. Broadly speaking from talking to friends in different offices from highest to lowest - it's Asia with the most -> US (East to West Coast) -> Europe. Regardless it's safe to expect to work a lot of hours in IBD in any country.
To much meat no diddy
Yeah it's a 6 month class how to cut pastrami
That looks like it would hit the spot working a cold day outside along side a coke and some fries 🍟
Like most things in new york, completely overrated.
Bro lying shit easy 😂
Yeah that looks so so hard, faaarkn!!
That first part... Cutting off the bark... Not good. Saved himself the second cut...
I can guarentee that is as easy as it looks
OMG, Im so jealous
Pastrami is one of my favorites or sometimes capicola
Oooohhhh
So you didn’t tip obviously that’s fckn skimpy
As a chef, it literally is as easy as it looks. Your not special guy
Don’t believe anyone. He’s a clown.
Omw
Is this the bay harbour butcherer
Bud thinks he’s special
Not that hard. Tender meat: sharp knife, proper angle
i don,t think he is throwing that meat away. he must have a container to catch (the best parts)
Who else likes those crispy edges he threw away 😋
😅😅😅
starting my ib job this summer lol man cant wait to lose myself
This is very inspiring. I'm working on my dream and feel like nothing working out. This video made me motivated to move forward. When I was 24, my company hired a consultant to give us retirement planning advice, and I had just started saving. The class, called "Starting Strong," recommended investing in a target retirement fund aligned with my 65th birthday. That was 20 years ago, and it's the only investment I've made. What other ways can I grow my finances?
target date funds made me a multimillionaire but i also watched them drop 40% in a very short time and take a long time to recover. my best suggestion is that you seek the guidance of a fiduciary to avoid mistakes
Great! mind if I look up your advisor please? only invest in my 401k through my employer as of now, but enthused about investing for my eventual retirement.
