These scumbag suits don’t care it’s all about saying look I tried elect me again.. also why don’t we extend all 3 lines east of ronkonkoma, port Jeff and patchogue especially when a train breaks down east of patchogue and people have to travel miles and miles away to take a ronk train when there’s a damn train that leave medford,yaphank ?

I agree that this branch should be electrified, but the comment about the age of the technology is ridiculous, as 3rd rail powered trains have been around for decades before diesel trains entered the scene. Also, while diesel pollution is bad, the more important reason we should electrify is because electric trains are far more reliable, lower maintenance, and (perhaps most importantly) if used in EMU configuration like on much of the LIRR accelerates much faster than diesel.

Let’s hope full of Ronkonkoma line to be electrified
