How to Offset an SVG in Inkscape
**If you're using an SVG, you can fast forward to about 1:30 to avoid the tracing steps. Just select your entire SVG and select path then union and you're ready to go from there**
Today we're going to go over a short portion in tracing an image file to create an SVG for offset, and how to offset that SVG to create a solid back layer for your cricut to cut to make your design stand out more and look really great. This is especially useful for mandalas and wording svgs to make them really pop!
The great dane Floral image will be coming to my SVG shop shortly!

How to convert a procreate drawing or other image into an SVG for cricut design space in inkscape
มุมมอง 12K5 ปีที่แล้ว
In this tutorial, I am going to use the procreate app on my 6th gen ipad to handletter a small multi-piece design and then use inkscape to make an SVG that is perfect for uploading to cricut design space. This process creates a crystal clear and layered or multi-piece design that can be manipulated in cricut design space and made into gorgeous crafts, allowing you to use your own drawings and d...
How to create an offset in Inkscape
มุมมอง 60K5 ปีที่แล้ว
Today we're creating a short and easy tutorial on how to create an offset (also called an outline or outset) of text using Inkscape. You can use this SVG file in Cricut design space, or other design apps as well. Instagram: @Jtbazillion You can tag me when you post crafts made with my tutorials, I love seeing what you make!

Something to note, if you are going to print your design on products, you need to start your art in Procreate as CMYK color space, or you will need to convert the new SVG to CMYK color which Inkscape can't do at the moment but Affinity can 😀 Affinity can't trace like Inkscape though so you will still need to 1: Procreate, 2: Inkscape, 3: Affinity

Sooo... You asked us to let you know what we think of your tutorial in the comments... YOU ARE AMAZING! I am a very heavy TH-cam tutorial watcher and this was such a great video that I am literally commenting for the first time ever in TH-cam! I am creating my first inkscape file (after deleting a million other attempts because it was too confusing), and it's all thanks to you. You are an amazing teacher, seriously. My only complaint is that you only have a few tutorials! PLEASE consider making more, I would probably watch them all even if I had no idea what you were doing because you are so chill and easy to follow. If you want ideas on content that viewers may be interested in, I see all these buttons in inkscape and it seems like there are a lot of features, but I have no clue what they are. It would be so awesome if you did more tutorials on things we can do using this app. I have a Cricut, so whatever I do in inkscape would mostly be used in Cricut Design Space, but I would love to learn anything you're willing to teach! Thanks so much for taking the fear out of working in inkscape for me; I feel like I'm now more willing to push buttons and try things, and if I screw everything up, I'll just hit delete! I hope you see this comment because I will definitely be checking in often to see if you have posted any new tutorials :)
