INSTALLATION OF THE BEROTEC CUMPAN COCKPIT ASSISTANT. (2019 KTM 690 SMCR)
Hoping to demystify the complexity of installing a Berotec Cumpan Cockpit Assistant by making this short video.
This unit is installed on my 2019 KTM 690 SMCR.
It’s a very nice unit that adds a few more output options over the stock display like RPM, Shift Light, Engine Temp (oil or water) and Gear Indicator.
Hopefully this will give others a better idea of what’s involved and how easy it really is to install. 😉

My mate trying out the Wheelie Machine then riding my WR250R and hitting some cracking wheelies for the first time! The Wheelie Machine isn't an exact representation of real life wheelies on the road but it's very helpful for learning throttle control, rear brake, and maintaining fairly low rev's at balance point. It's also a lot of fun!

Thought I'd make a 'Dummies Guide' type video showing the installation of the HealTech GIPRO X-TYPE G2 on my WR250R. So easy a monkey could install one blindfolded. Note: If you’ve have a problem with the audio mute the video and get on with life! lol! It's a fairly easy install and HealTech provides some good generic instructions to cover a variety of motorbikes using the same type of harness....

More testing of the Mobius camera attached to my side mirror. This time out for a ride with my mate and his KTM SUPER DUKE. What a beast!! Not liking the footage from the camera too much. Might have to uograde to a GoPro mounted to my helmet.

Installed mine today. Can't get in to menu. Connected the +12v wire to the VCSV +12v (not used anymore) Gear indicator works but I read later in the manual that the +12v wire must be Connected to something that gives power even when the engine stop switch is off. That's not the case with the VCSV (vacuum control solenoid valve)

I understand that this video is 3 yrs old but I have a gi pro on a bike that I just bought (used obviously) and have no idea how to work it. After Google, I understand that it messes w the communication to the brain and gives me more torque at the lower end. Because it's an old model, I can't get a user manual for it from the company or any tuning instructions. Thoughts?
Sorry I can’t really help with that. If you’ve tried the manufacturer and they can’t provide instruction then you might have to go through some forums and see if anyone is running the same model. Other than that, might be time to sell it and upgrade to the latest model?

@@onewaywolf3530 I'm sorry, I'm mixing 2 diffent chats. I looked up the upgraded version and it's pretty pricey considering that I'm not planning on hitting a race track. I'll try to mess with it in the spring and see if helps or hinders. Great tip on the forums. I hadn't thought of it
Your the man. Hooked up 12oclock labs speedo healer and noticed my gear indicator wasn't working right. I didn't realize the gear Indicator had the same type of plug and didn't wire it in series like you show. Big thanks!

Nice video, I have a HealTech GI Pro S01. It might be slightly different as it shows a "d" for some seconds when switching on ignition (guess it means "diagnosing"). Also, I routed the power cable to fuse box where I found an empty slot for it. Once when I got back the bike from workshop I noticed that the bike was sluggish as hell, Why? They had disconnected the TRE! Proof that it works...
Fantastic video. I think this is the least invasive gear indicator for this bike considering you need to tap into just one wire for power. I will be getting one for my Srad750 shortly and I think the position you mounted yours in will work for me also. Beautiful bike also, it looks really fresh

Thanks for the video. I am stuck between the GIPRO and the X-TRE Power Box XT-S01. My bike has a gear indicator so the XT-S01 seems to make more sense, but the GIPRO is a slightly easier install and looks like you can deactivate the TRE mode without removing it. The XT-S01 as far as I can tell needs to be physically unplugged to deactivate TRE. Does anyone know if I put the GIPRO on does the in dash gear indicator still work as normal? Any thoughts on what I have written above appreciated.

how can i set it up if there is no rpm counter on the screen?
It’s all in the instructions. You basically have to put it in learning mode and ride a straight stretch of road so that it can calibrate each gear as you change. After that you’re set. The device will remember the gears and show on the display as you change up or down.

What do you mean? The red and green/black wires are on the wire harness as seen in the video. Red wire connects to rear brake light brown wire and green/black wire connects to coil orange wire.
Is supermoto and dirt bike street legal in Australia?????

I just checked and although one wire is plug n play the other wire will need to be spliced into your RPM signal wire. When you purchase the kit make sure it's suited for the Raptor and follow the install instructions. All info should be there.

Wim Pie No mate just used some 3M double sided gel tape. The thick rubbery stuff. Works a treat!

Wim Pie Nice and cheers for the comment! If you have any problem with the TRE let me know. I had an intermittent shutdown of the bike while riding and ended up having to send the unit to Hungary for a firmware update which sorted it out. All good now!

I also wondered what way the programmes work, I'm on a gsx1400 and is same as a zx10r, it's NNNNNN, as I'm sure you seen, all different maps for different bikes, I was curious about that.
Rh 4000 You only need to select the number that corresponds to your bikes programming. Number 7 in your case. It’s all just the way factories program their ECU’s.
@@RCWASPOVISION ye I just thought it was a case of tre on or off, just interesting the different settings for different ecus etc. Will set mine up over the weekend.

Rh 4000 That’s the rear brake switch wire. You see him tracing along it in the video and where to attach the power wire.
