Miss Vodka Stinger Bitches I Love: Cher
มุมมอง 4633 ปีที่แล้ว
Infamous New York City Drag Queen Miss Vodka Stinger weighs in on some bitches she loves. Here I talk about icon and brilliant Trump agitator Cher! I love to think about her laying in a huge bed in Malibu, eating a pizza, tweeting nasties at that idiot Trump. She's still a one of a kind talent the likes of which we will never see again. Cher is a bitch I love!

I was so excited to get a clean version of me singing this Sondheim classic. The song in which my name came from. But like Elaine herself in her final years, I went up on the Lyrics. I'm still so pleased with this performance from Sophisticated Ladies April 27th at Feinstein's/54 Below.

Gosh I love her at any age--that Dame Maggie Smith! I remember her being a guest on CB in the 70s but I was little and I thought she was Julie Andrews.
Oh my word. I had forgotten how magnificent Julia is in singing this epic. Utterly beautiful.
do you mean Joanne?
Thx!
OMG…this is phenomenal.
Why. Him love her delivery of the lyrics
E P I C .
I've never understood the worship for Elaine Stritch in musical theater. Especially her singing this. I've enjoyed her in non-musical roles and as a person ashe seems quite a character. Nothing outstanding, though. And her voice and flat notes. I just can't.
WOW!
Perfection.
Thanks for posting. This performance is sheer perfection. The emotional arc is so moving, it brings me to tears on every viewing as her artistry is so powerful. She has such a masterful command of her talent that it's always a pleasure to behold. And this is just such a great song, the melody and piano arrangement is delightful. ❤☮🌎
Elaine Stritch looked THAT young at one time? Of course Mahler was a big thing during the 70's because Sondheim knew Leonard Bernstein so well and Lenny was just pouring his heart out about Mahler at that time.
Provocative
My Auntie is Ann Marie Gwatkin... she was the First British Annie in the Theatre in the UK
Her voice was absolutely amazing too
Anyone else smiling uncontrollably at this. Love Maggie Smith
more sting....er.
SHE ALWAYS MISSED HER FIRST CUE
Captivating
tre fab !!!!!
THANK YOU!!! I haven't seen this in years since my VHS players aren't usable anymore.
Love this!! Cheers to you Elaine Stritch👏🏼👏🏼
This song to me feels like Mr. Cellophane. If the right person is performing it, its sadness creeps through, and if the wrong person performs it, it’s simply a joke. Ladies Who Lunch is a sad song clouded with bitterness and contempt for others and the performers lot in life. I am sad that a lot of performers I think don’t really get that across. Elaine gets it. The sad anger.
Icon. ❤
Love it.
You mean she’s English Carole 🤣
This is for film, not theater. She doesn’t break eye contact with her audience…you! On the other side of the lens. Brilliant.
Elaine Stritch is sensational. As a child I first met her in the TV show 'Two's Company'. I love her. What a superb voice.
Horrible voice, but lots of emotion.
Really?…..You must be new
@@lyndawilliams4570 Really? Your conclusion is based on what?
This is cool. I heard it on Doom Patrol and then when I looked it up I found out it is performed by Elaine Stritch who played easily one of my favorite characters on 30 Rock. I can tell she had quite a career before that, that's just what I know her from. What a massively talented performer.
i’m sorry to say this but this puts the ham in hamie, hammy,
I saw this as it was originally broadcast, on "The Great American Dream Machine," and it was transformative.
omg this is amazing. "Does anyone...still wear...a hat?"
Brings back memories. I was just a little kid and my parents had that show on every week. It was good family friendly entertainment but the thing I remember most about those says was that I thought they would last forever. Now Im old...and yet it seems like it wasnt longer ago than a twinkle in a star
Laser. focus. character. Not the show stopper. A monologue. genius.
Divina
I did this musical a few years ago and played Bert Healy. This was my favorite musical back then, and I loved the song "Tomorrow" and I always sang it.
Sweet!
This is awesome, hope all fans of Downtown Abbey get to see this 🎉😂❤❤
Kaye Thompson was a great and important figure in film and live performance. But I just can’t take her. I respect the energy and the talent that she had but she’s simply not my cup of tea. But I can understand how other people do like her and admire her.
Ha haha haha
Monty Wooley, Ethel Barrymore and is that Mildred Natwick and Louis Jordan sitting at tables?
Who is the actor who plays George?
Elaine..is honest about "chewing the scenery" and attempting to "steal scenes" from other performers.
Genius 😂❤❤❤
Henrybuch0ltz 12345345henry ❤❤❤❤
Irreplaceable.💯
And Harry Potter 40 years Later
😂😂😂
This never ceases to grab my by the b*lls. This is so much more than a song. It's an anthem by one of the greatest performance of our day.
I was compelled to actually "rise" at the end! LOL! Stritch was so focused and amused and sad.
Well - if you remember her - Belle Barth never would've made it to Café Carlyle. In those days, no way.
