That is a newly-paved trail that runs down Lower Afton Rd in St. Paul, starting right next to highway 61. You can easily turn it into a loop by riding that path out and taking the Battle Creek Park trails back.

I just stumbled across these videos. Pretty awesome stuff. Where is the water channel at 2:38 located? Looks like a nice place for a walk or bike ride.

Yeah fair enough, I use it as a live feed just always make sure it has full battery but im no good at fpv, just built a ground station with diversity and going to invest in a decent flight board with rth etc, guess its about having the balls to fly away from you. Top notch vid though mate. Would be interested to see uncut flights aswell and your setup. Cheers paul

I use a separate camera for the live feed. The GoPro gives you about 30-seconds notice before it turns off, so that could be bad news if you were a ways out!

Yeah, I didn't realize that it got that close to people until I saw the video. What really amazed me was how receptive people were to the quad flying around - bunches of people waved, and even more were asking me about it! What happened is it went into the failsafe mode - I guess I got it a little too far around the peninsula and the trees/rock blocked my signal. I also discovered that I left my Tx antenna in the stowed/sideways position, which may have hurt my range considerably!

Best part is at the end. LOL. Crazy, man! Those people didn't even realize something was wrong. It sounds/looks like you flew out of RC range?

Thanks for the compliment! My success in getting rid of jello has come from using a home-built mount. I'll try to get a video up soon on how it works, but basically it's combination of using foam ear plugs to support a platform, then inserting moongel between the camera/platform/straps. And balancing the props!! I've been shooting in 720p 60fpm, but may try 1080 soon. For the other specs, I'm using HK 18A ESC, NTM 2826 motors, and GemFan 8x4.5 carbon.

WOW Now that was really a great video. I loved the behind the fall and water channel flight something new but I would do if I knew how to fly so well. For me a solid TWO THUMBS UP. You should do more as I for one would watch and enjoy them.
