Multishot resin casting is a core concept for artisan keycaps and many other resin applications, yet it can still be challenging to conceptualize or be aware of the wide range of techniques that exist. Whether you already work with resin or just like to understand what goes into the process, this video walks through an end-to-end journey of casting a multishot artisan keycap.
We hope this information allows you to start experimenting with the casting process and discovering even more depths to your own art or the appreciation of others.

Is there anywhere to get these l2k adapters?
That’s very ingenious! The link for the store doesn’t work anymore, can I still buy a L2K-LP-03?
I know this is quite an old video but is there a new source for L2K adapter since Shapeways is no more?
Hello, is your webshop not working anymore? For some reason it is currently unavailable.
This video is so well organized. Thank you!
Hi is it possible to remove air bubbles without the use of a pressure pot?
What is Casto Pro Mod and what is synth? 08:24
What is Caste brew system? 06:50
Legos as a mold box? Genius.
Where can I get this?
What does the pressure tank or compressor used for?
Thia video helped me make my first custom keycap! Thank you! Any ideas what to do with the excess resin at each shot
If you want to do keycap, you have to see Vietnamese guys, they're the best
It was really interesting adn would like to try, but it really seems to be a high budget thing
you're using the wrong kind of cartrige on your respirator you need a vapour one
Thank you guys for the great video. I had experience with casting resin and silicone but not on the scale of keycaps. You just helped me cast my first (almost) perfect spacebar (no pressure pot required really).
Pro tip mould making: get a long setting, stiffer silicone. Pro tip casting stems: use a stir stick to add a small stream (not drips) of resin into one corner of the stem just like casting silicone. Do not move, do not drip, let the stem fill from one point and thus push out all the air.
Thank you this is great! I'm excited to try it out :D
Great idea but not everyone uses lego as mold box -_-
This man has God like talent
Amazing tutorial
They both high af looking lmao
love the video fantastic im looking for someone to make a 9u Mx Cherry Spacebar...... anyone up for the challenge please msg me....i need it for a prototype keyboard.
Honestly have never seen such a thorough and informative tutorial I’ve ever seen
how about low profile GL switches that has feet sticking up
Great content, will definitely give go. But.. YES to what?
I was ready to checkout with the master But the shipping fee to Seoul is 35 dollars :(
Those air bubbles in a transparent keycap look kinda cool honestly.
this channel is goated
I'm new to this and was just curious how many times you can reuse the mold?
good work bro!
That guy looks like he’s stuck in the early 90’s….it’s very distracting 😳
I know this might be a stupid question but can we just cure the caps without pressure? I want to make caps but not commercially. I just have weird shape caps. I dont care if they have all those tiny bubbles. I actually think that looks nice.
can i have the trash ? hehehe
Can somebody point me in the direction of the size of hollow needle used to mae the sprues?
thank you for this video. it was the most helpful one have seen do far. I haven't come across anyone else who explains the process in such detail. thank you again.
but why does your resin stick to the surface even if you move the mold around? i have a smoothcast 327 and mine doesnt behave like that. they all slide down that bottom and nothing is left sticking to where i put the resin
The guy at the left looks creepy as fuck. I wouldn't leave my kids unattended if he was around.
Getting 90s MTV vibes. Pure gold tutorial, respect.
Holy moy the efford. Amazing casting tutorial guys!
My gaydar is going off
These seem like a great idea. I've been searching for a good mold system for a while and I think these could work for me. I'm not big on artisan key caps for my main keyboard but I want a second keyboard that's 100% custom.
How long you put the resin to the pot dude?
This guy oozes 'trad climber'. Love him
what percentage of artisans would you say are made this way? like, when someone says "full casted" are they just pouring into a mold and painting then or doing this?
Wonderful
What happened to The Glyph, he disappeared.
Deff don’t waste your money buying their mold adapter cuz it will break and it will mess up your master keycap and the company they use to sell the product has possibly the worse costumer service and an even worse return policy
bro, what a presentation. applause*
so with this and a small cnc u basically can make own keycaps?
i needa set of backlit custom double shot xda (with custom kerb) keycaps... can u produce a set? or wheres the best place to look? thanks
