🦥PASSIVE LEARNING trap (+ 3 ACTIVE listening strategies to follow instead!)
Passive learning is when you receive a lot of input. You learn new information, you study, but don’t use your knowledge in a practical way. You are able to convince yourself - hey, I’m moving forward, I’m doing something, I’m progressing, whereas what you usually do is just procrastinating taking action. You can see where the trap is, right? Even you end up believing yourself. It’s the ILLUSION...

Today we're having a mindset chat about perfectionism💎 and language learning. It's a bit different topic than my other videos tend to touch on, but I thought it may help some of you to identify mindset blocks and discover why you might be able to understand English, but can't speak it. 'I can understand English, but I can't speak it' - if only I got a dollar for every time I heard that... ;) Ha...

Two-finger salute (Polish soldiers salute differently!) 🇵🇱
Two-finger salute (Polish soldiers salute differently!) 🇵🇱
And to think we helped the British and they always disrespected us. Whether it was us saluting, or our language, or how we were treated after WW2 and not allowed to march in the parade 🤦🏼♂️
"you will own nothing and be happy" -> wef for 2030
You only salute if you have head cover with coat of arms on it. You won't salute with a hand wearing a helmet. you will give gentle nod with your head
thx teacher!
Does anybody have any studying materials for STANAG lvl 3? I mean any example of test or writing topics or text
I thought the two finger salute was for God and Country.
This is exactly from Kosciuszko Upraising 1784, where one, very wounded soldier, reported filling His mission to Kosciuszko and then He died. One of His injuries was hand teared apart, so He had only two fingers left. After that, Kosciuszko has implemented two finger salute in whole Polish Army as a sign of respect for this one soldier (who was private only). Marshal Piłsudski came back to this tradition once Poland gained back independence in 1918. Piłsudski was deeply in love in history and tradition, so for example He honoured all survivers from Polish 1863 - 1864 January Uprising. When Poland gained back independence in 1918, Piłsudski honoured all veterans from 1863 -64. They had very special way of treatment in Second Polish Republic. Nothing for compare to modern times, when veterans are treated not so good. Respect and love from Poland! 🇵🇱
Hey Magda @MilitaryEnglishTeacher (long time viewer, first time commenter) we were just wondering if you would be interested in reading the world atlas we wrote? (If not yeah I get it, I might not respond to a random comment in my comment section either ) Our atlas is called "The World A Comprehensive Guide to Geopolitics" It has breakdowns for over 1,400 geographic regions covered. Every continent, every UN member, every partially recognized nation (Taiwan, Kosovo, Palestine etc.), every autonomous region, every external territory. We even included breakdowns for every known base camp in Antarctica, by both summer and winter populations. It has over 440 colorized maps. And over 490 colorized flags. And we even included a geography section full of facts such as the largest rivers, lakes, deserts, the lowest elevations, highest altitudes, longest mountain ranges, most northerly and southerly nations just to name a few. It took us almost 2 years to make. I'm proud of it. We finally published on June 12, 2024. Almost 2 and a half months ago. Either way...love your channel man, keep up the great work! AMAZING VIDEO!!! Thanks so much for this video, it's so useful for me because I am a perfectionist and that's awful . Greetings from ARGENTINA!
Thanks Ma'am Love from India 🇮🇳❤️

Interesting : ) I was told as a little boy it’s a three 3️⃣ finger salute 🫡 including the thumb 👍 representing the White Eagles 🦅 Claw : )
Why don't you read the examples and useful phrases out loud instead of saying "here are some examples"? Your video could be employed as a podcast then, however I need to stop it every time to make notes...
The most amazing thing is that STANAG is apparently still needed if someone already has TEFL. But one should already know that you leave logic behind when entering the Army.
Dziękuję i pozdrawiam. Niech się niesie 😎🇵🇱🇵🇱🇵🇱

Hello, the link does not work. So I would like to ask you, does the program still exist or did you end it already? Please, let me know. I would like to join in, if it is still possible.
Czy caly raport poprzedzamy To, From i DATE?
Wonderful video. Highly informative. High five!
Magda you are doing a great job. Thanks a lot
Congratulations! But with all the respect... depends in which country you take the exam also
Hi! Could you elaborate on that? I would love to hear your insight.

I'm a 100% silent perfectionist 😅. Everything you said about this type is absolutely true.
Hi Maria! Thank you for this comment. I guess it's so true because all of the types were based on real people and their cases. The one you mentioned (silent perfectionist) is actually based on one of my best friends and many conversations that we have had. I hope you found my tips useful. 🤗 The good thing is that perfectionism is something that one can work on, but the first step is the awareness. 💚
@@MilitaryEnglishTeacher I have already acknowledged my weaknesses and started to work on them getting myself out of my comfort zone.

Pozdrawiam 🤗
Still gorgeous...😊
