@BlvccSwan I would try running in konsole again make sure its set itself up correctly if that doesn't work you can try uninstalling stardew and retry from the beginning also worth trying loading the game in desktop mode see if it works then have you got the latest version of smapi and mods with the newest game update some mods will need to be updated before they can work. @MichaelCarnero-g5h can you give me a bit more detail shouldn't need to open console screen when in gaming mode it only needs to be done in desktop mode it is perfectly fine to play in desktop mode though so don't worry about that

I too am technology challenged i installed decky loader from there added the static background option there's a search feature on decky im going to try and get a video up for you all on how I did it but if you search decky loader and static background on TH-cam or Google hopefully you can find a tutorial if you'd rather not wait for mine ☺️

@StarGazingMouse got mine on amazon look for ones that say they fit a ps5 controller as they are bigger grips mine are by a brand called DLseego. Unfortunately none of the switch ones I own fit it.

@glovedcop69 vortex can cause issues when running mods so definitely don't do that where are you trying to download from? If it's on nexus mods it shouldn't ask you to download vortex should just ask you to make an account

@HollyBerryBelle73 did you right click on the Linux file in the smapi folder? That's how i get it to run for myself

Yes exactly right just make sure after installing any new mods to open the smapi folder right click the version so on steamdeck the Linux one and run in konsole and go through the options again like in my video they should then be installed and work 😊

@ArtisticAndroid no need to uninstall it just needs to run again each time after clicking run in konsole just follow the options again just follow the video from 9:56 and then it should work for you 😊

@DeathJerrie another thing I've loved since getting it is the company themselves seem really good not only with fixing consoles but with how the company itself is run with allowing mods makes for a really nice experience. And yes the way games run so smoothly it makes it my first console to pick up it feels aps and bounds above my switch. Thank you for watching 😊

I'm lucky I never got cramp with my switch but I definitely find buttons easier on steamdeck and yep definitely agree couldn't lug my pc around this is much lighter 😆
