    Great tutorial. However you’ll find within a day of use that PLA is no good for coasters as it warps. You need to use PETG.

    How much bambu pays to you people to shill for them? You didn't have to incert that f-g brand into the video header. Just remember, these money are likely connected to forced labour of Uyghurs in China.

    I have a question. I get all the way up to the point where you import the SVG and then Extrude the whole thing back -3 mm. BUt then when I try to choose the logo so I can extrude it positively, it will not let me choose it. Does anyone know what I am doing wrong ion that case? thanx

    When I do the first extrusion and try to select the outermost offset (or any I've created), it highlights the whole thing. What am I doing wrong? I've restarted 3 times but nothing is different.

    Hi. Thanks for the video. I have a question. Since you extruded the box "walls" up from the back plate and the front panel down from the top (-1), I think the edges are overlapping by 1 mm. Is that correct? Would it be better to extrude the front panel by +1 instead of -1?

    My print ends up great but the 2 colors are somewhat separated to the point that some parts will fall off. Am using a bambu x1c. Do you know what could cause this issue ?

  • @bbrachman
    @bbrachman 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Being very new (it is Monday, bought the printer on Saturday) This is the absolute BEST tutorial on making a coaster like this. As long as the parts are separate bodies or objects, this is the way to go. The secret is Lay on Face. (just purchased the smooth texture plate from Bambu) Thank you Ryan. This is a perfect tutorial.

  • @matthewetner1769

    This is a great tutorial, but I had two issues and I'm confident it's my fault because I downloaded F360 for this tutorial. My front and back are exactly the same size, so that's good, but they don't fit together snug like I thought they should. There is a lot of wiggle room between the lip and the back. The other is, my black on the front printed fantastic, but white is super stringy and you can see all the lines and there actually appears to be holes in some spots, although the back side (not on the plate) looks much better. Any suggestions for either of these?

      If you didn't noticed he planted the front cover face down on the plate in the slicer, which is in practice just an inversion of the object. This means everithing will turn out fine, even text. Instead of just glossing over the information in the video, pay a little bit of attention to the details. It's quite informative and filled with practical advice.

    Finally took the time to follow your tutorial and make a coaster. Why is it you go to the Bambu with a STEP file vs. STL. I am assuming is it allows you to color the object easier in the Bambuu slicer - but jus checking because I am learning the slicer still

    I have followed step to step. But when I reach 6:00, I cannot select the logo. I went over this several times and it's always the same. If I were to flip to the back of the component, I can select the individual parts. I cannot figure out why.

    Great video - but the issue I'm having is after you've created the 'back' component (with the whole selection) I'm unable to then select the individual areas (ie. the letters etc.) - the whole thing gets selected.

    • @traj00
      @traj00 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I'm having the same situation. Maybe because the newer versions have changed a step that isn't covered in this video.

    • @CitizenChaz
      @CitizenChaz 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@traj00 Yeah, you have to spin the whole thing around once you’ve extruded the ‘Back’. You can then select the individual sections as shown. It’s not pointed out on the video but that works. Hope that helps!
