Sorry for the terrible deck pic. I will do better next time :) At the end of G1, I had 3 trikes and 1 Tetravus IICR. I didn't take out the Dancing Scimitars, I took out the Divine Offerings. I think I was just showing John that I had 3, haha.

GGs Lucas and very nice deck! I hope you go all the way in this tourney and take down 1st place! Game 1 When I spirit linked my Ernham and attacked into his fallen angel, looking at the board I thought he had a 2/1 pixie and the angel....I forgot the face down card on his side represented my 1/2 Sage of Lat Nam! Thinking he could only make his Angel a 5/4 by sacc'ing the pixie, i thought i could trade with ernham gain 4 life and kill both his guys! But then he said block with angel and make it a 7/5! lol! GG =( Juxtapose is a tough card to play on cam games when you swap creatures. It's easy to forget sometimes that they have your creature on their side (several turns later) when you cant see 'it' amidst all the other thoughts and plays going on.

Great games and great commentary @chad and @john. Game 1 was really competitive back and forth. Too bad about Tim's draws in Game 2, but that's Magic sometimes. Good luck to Lucas in the semifinals!

The situation with the 3rd Scavenger Folk at th-cam.com/video/hUyT_z2OSoE/w-d-xo.html is genuinely concerning. Being that the player's sideboard didn't contain any Scavenger Folk; it cannot be that the player hasn't un-sideboard-ed correctly, the card must have got into the deck by some other means. It's also concerning that it's the perfect card to beat an opponent who is playing an artifact-based build. I think the player should have received a game loss at this point, and then the deck and sideboard should have been checked for consistency with the deck list submitted. Any further infractions could then be handled separately. Then the matches could have continued with the correct deck as listed being played. This is to my best understanding what would have happened in any COMP REL (competitive rules enforcement) event. The MAGIC INFRACTION PROCEDURE GUIDE (and a judge) should be consulted for more authoritative guidance: media.wizards.com/ContentResources/WPN/MTG_IPG_2024Sep23_EN.pdf

Definately agree with the commentators re: no take backs. Very generous, but players need to own their mistakes in competitive magic. Just accept that you've made a mistake and move on.

Great games guys. That last game in particular was fun. @48:27 can't Lucas cast Blood Lust on Chad's Ghost Ship at the 'end of combat' step (after combat damage step) and then ping it for 1 damage with the Desert? Then he doesn't have to take the extra 4 damage off the Blood Lust. Chad even says "after the combat damage", so this was his first thought as well. And as someone already mentioned, you get all the mana from countering Recall, as the X’s are a part of the casting cost. This isn’t run into often because it’s usually better to let the Recall resolve and then counter whatever they recalled.

i started playing at 14...antiquities was my first experience in magic...does that make me old school? 48 now

At the bottom the Gatherer page for Recall under Rulings, it says: You don't discard cards until Recall resolves. If you don't have X cards in your hand at that time, you discard all the cards in your hand.

First turn hippy answered by double unsummon was great! Sengir answered with double unsummon was deja vu. Love how fast Revised40 games are.

I've had a few iterations of Underworld Dreams decks written down for months. Was thinking about putting one together for an upcoming tournament, but your Boomerangs have me second guessing it!
