Some timestamps would be nice. The Aquarius has much better upgrades available than the two old ones mentioned here. Micro expander and MX give it incredibly more functionality with USB storage as well as Aqua pad controller and Aqua max tape loader solution from you make robots.

I swear I am swatting at an actual fly that was determined to interrupt my talk. Thank you to VCF SoCal for a fantastic event. I apologize if parts of my narrative seem confusing or are missing details but I was trying to fit at least three hours of blabber into one, and still recovering from an ER visit and antibiotics administered a couple days prior after I squared off with a feral cat on the farm (I won BTW).

I've been adjacent to the FujiNet project for 4 years now, and an Atari 8-bit user for over 40 years, but the fact that the FujiNet can just go "here's a new device called N:", and the Atari OS just goes "sure, whatever buddy", and suddenly you're OPEN #1,4...ing a file from 1000 miles away *still* blows my mind. 😂

Great talk, was glad to say I was there. It can't be forgotten that it took a company the size of IBM to give the world core-memory and SLT logic. The development of OS/360 run over budget and behind schedule and cost something like $5B in the 1960s!

11:40 The "E:" editor device "didn't do anything important", Joe says! 😂 I know, I know, he's really talking about the 400 & 800 built-in Memo Pad. Still though, the Atari's editor was joy to work with, compared to the Timex Sinclair 1000 (ZX81), Commodore 64, and Apple II that I had also poked around on at the time.
