GC1725M Custom made Ballast Box, adjustable with concrete blocks. Made in the shop!
The build footage didn’t process right, user error or program I don’t know, but I hope I convey the ballast box I designed and built here in a way that is interesting to those with sub compact tractors. This has really been a fun project, and overall I feel like it has turned out really nicely overall. It looks and functions great, and really added stability I feel to the GC1725M overall.
It has a compact foot print, and adjustability overall.
I plan to get my materials lists together and list them below here. If interested in a cut list please let me know in the comments below.

GC1725M Shop Built Side Step, Custom Design and Build in Shop.
มุมมอง 88ปีที่แล้ว
Just showing the step I had built in the shop, some notes, but also I’d just like to throw in this step was built by myself prior to doing the channel. There is only one company making steps for the tractor from what I can understand or find, and at the time I didn’t think the foot pad would be big enough. All steel I had on hand and it really has been a wonderful addition, although looking bac...

Folks! Here is what I keep in my tractors tool box, and I can tell you it may be the best organized meaning I can’t just toss it all back in but it keeps what I need with the tractor. I love seeing and hearing about what others keep onboard, so please be sure to comment and let me know what you keep, or what else you think I should keep on my tractor or in the tool box setup. Finally get to add a logo to the tool box and in this video I show how I do it and I feel like it turned out great! This is a dry method which went really easy overall. It is best to stay away from wet apply because it can cause some issues during application. Remember to ask any questions in the comments below!
GC1725M Ammo Tool Box holder mount. Some tips and tricks as well as sizing.
มุมมอง 214ปีที่แล้ว
Hello Everyone! I made a Ammo box tool box bracket to attach to the opposite side of the tractor step I have. This uses a Ammo box large enough to fit the Edge Tamers and also pins and some extra pins too. It looks and works great and could be a simple job to create. The setup stays within the foot print of the tractor as well! Please like and subscribe and also share to help me out and grow th...

Retail REMS GC1725M Skid Plate Unboxing
มุมมอง 50ปีที่แล้ว
Here I am unboxing the Retail REMS skid plate, it just came in and I think is a great and potentially necessary addition to this tractor and any versions for other small tractors I feel this would be a great upgrade if similar products are made for those brands due to placement of filters or fan blades which is what this product helps to protect. This is just the unboxing, during filming I was ...

In this video I talk about and show my change to a second type of switch mount I made and am happier with for the Massey Ferguson GC1725M. Glad I found this, I just bought and installed this protection plate last week and the written instructions (with no pictures) are kind of poor and the youtube link the manufacturer puts on the instructions no longer exists. Tried to watch another video and the lighting was so bad I couldn't see a lot of what the guy was doing. Wish you would have gave us a heads up on your added washers in the beginning- I was tearing my garage apart and trash midway through the install thinking I threw away washers that don't actually come with the kit. LOL.

      @DavisShopworx 11 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I apologize for that washer deal, I was learning how to do the videos at the time but we have a new format thanks to some other TH-camrs that have been talking with me about changing the format (tips and tricks to structure) to make sure it fits what I'm intending this channel to be. Once I am recovered from my injury I plan to get back to the content and will for sure in videos like this try to out in the beginning a "here is what I found out" kind of thing. I really appreciate the input, and I'm glad it helped! These are some great little tractors, very under represented I feel like!

      @DavisShopworx 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The magnetic mounts I created using some bolts matching the size of the hardware that had come with them. The magnetic discs are made by (or atleast sold by) NiLight on Amazon.

    I have a 1/4 and 3/8 flexzilla hoses with the high flow fittings on both ! I can easily take the lug nuts off my f250 with my 1/2 inch impact wrench with the 1/4 inch hose.

    • @DavisShopworx
      @DavisShopworx 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      They are really easy to roll up I have found also compared to say the cheaper vinyl like hoses, and I do feel as well that they allow more air flow indeed!

    Ahh, you moved your rear lights inside the ROPS like I did. I kept hitting them and almost tore them off several times.

      @DavisShopworx 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Luckily I had never tore them off, I saw the posts of others moving them, but before we did a tree had touched one while I was passing by and I took it straight to the shop and moved them right then to be honest LOL Pricey if you have to replace them!

      I apologize I do not have a link, but on Amazon search for Flexzilla High Flow and they will come up. There was several options so I tried to figure out what price point and options would fulfill the needs of the shop overall.

    Great video, thanks. Any tips to change out the bulb on the stock rear work light? I can get the black plastic cover off, but then it looks like a sealed beam. I didn't want to go any further..

    • @DavisShopworx
      @DavisShopworx 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      To be honest I think it is a 1157 bulb, let me check my old orders and see what it was exactly. The front lens comes apart after the screws are removed from the back, the silver shield comes loose and the bulb access is there. I know for sure the bulb I used was the same as what I used for the headlights

    • @DavisShopworx
      @DavisShopworx 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Here is the bulbs I used for the headlights and spot light (it wouldn't Link right so here is the name on amazon) "BRISHINE 4-Pack 1000 Lumens Super Bright 1156 1073 1141 7506 BA15S LED Bulbs 6000K Xenon White 24-SMD LED Chipsets with Projector for Backup Reverse Lights, Parking Lights, Daytime Running Lights" AND I can honestly say I have had good luck with this brand of bulbs so far. The ROPS lighting I can tell you that NiLight has been working great too. I haven't had to use lighting super often on the tractor but when I need it, it is there and really helps overall to light everything up!

    Good video! I bought a bx1880 and I can say you are correct on the loader capacity being lower than the other brands. Honestly it really doesn’t bother me because I’m not lifting very heavy stuff The bx80 series all have the same loaders and the same pump. Keep up the good work and you just earned yourself a subscriber!

    • @DavisShopworx
      @DavisShopworx ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks Zachary! I really did nearly settle on the 1880, but in some recent footage we shot of the GC1725M, once edited, I think you’ll agree with me that I made the right choice for what my needs were. The tractors sure do pay for themselves though, I bet the money I have saved doing the work so far has taken a decent chunk off my actual cost. As a side note, stay tuned, I have a ballast box build coming up, just finished drafting it, so it shouldn’t be too long!
