Brother avoid these types of scammers… you can find best trustable bike renting shops near thamel areas you can visit there 😊 or if you have any trust issues than you could vist some bike showrooms they can give you some ideas and directions for the nearest trustable renting shops 😊

How terrible, you were at the mercy of the taxi service to get back home. Next time book from a reputable tour company. Here's another one to avoid: Made the mistake of taking a taxi who parks at the Malaysia Hotel in Bangkok to go to Amphawa floating market (same as your vid). His price was very cheap for the four of us and he was super friendly but turned out to part of a scam. I noticed we passed the Amphawa sign, and instead he dropped us at this place that had little boats that would take us there for $90/person! Absurd, Amphawa has a huge parking lot and the market is free for all. The boat vendor started to negotiate the price. I told the taxi driver something is wrong, and he started to get upset. I told him if he doesn't take us to the correct spot we will get there ourselves and started to walk away. He then said ok and took us there. Once there he said it was a different price (more) to get back to the hotel if he waits for us. I told him he told us the price before, so if he wants to leave that's fine but we were not going to pay him anymore. He then agreed to wait for us to take us back to the hotel. During the ride back to the hotel it was awkward we did not speak because I was furious at this scumbag. LESSON: Do not use taxi's that linger at the hotel. They are usually waiting for tourist in the hotel to scam. The other guests at the hotel ignored these taxis and caught ones driving by. Or book transportation through a reputable tour agency (or your hotel).

This city's also known for having more than 50 ancient/medieval ponds. 5 huge traditional design ponds and 40+ small ponds are distributed all over the city.

These people make their country look so bad... once they see a foreigner, they already have a plan to rob you as much as possible. If they cant they get mad and make a fit so you'll give in and buy their private taxi ticket.

Tourist get ripped off every where, you go. They get cheated or over charged by scammers.

I live in hillstation. There are only local private taxi's available here. They do increase the price at night by 30 percent. But there is no scam like this as it is for private taxi service. Shared taxi's never cost more here.
