Thanks for the great explanation, I didn’t know how all of this works!
My plugin buffers and won't load. Is there a solution for this? I really want to use this plugin but I can't get it to quit buffering
Hello, If we understand, the back-end pages/tabs of our Plugin's interface won't load in the WP-Admin? If that happens, it could be a cache issue on your Site. So after you install our Plugin for the first time ( or update it), it is a good idea to purge all cache on the Site. You can use any caching Plugin to do this. After that, refresh and check if it's solved. If it doesn't work, also purge cache of your browser to be sure - check again. If the issue persists - On some specific hosting server configurations, there can be a misconfiguration like a security issue/wrong permissions for read/write etc, so the Plugin did not create all the files on the WP hosting server FTP and all tables it needs in your WordPress Database the first time around. In that case, you can try this : - Disable/deactivate our Plugin from the Plugins list. - Re-enable/activate the Plugin. - Purge cache on the Site. - Check if it loads now. If you still encounter the issue, please open a Support ticket here: tmsplugins.ticksy.com/, and one of our agents will help you troubleshoot this in more detail. If you don't have a licence, you can open a Pre-Purchase ticket on the following link, so you won't have to input any licence key tmsplugins.ticksy.com/submit/#100010481 Kind regards.
How to show data labels on the chart?
Hello, For the ApexCharts engine, there is a native option which you can enable, in the Chart Wizard, to always show the data labels on the Apex charts. On other chart engines, we don't have this native option in the chart Wizard, but you can customize the charts to always show the data labels, by using custom chart callbacks. Please note, using wpDataChart callbacks requires a certain level of programming skills and our included support refers only to advice. You can check our documentation about wpDataCharts callbacks (wpdatatables.com/documentation/information-for-developers/wpdatacharts-callbacks/). We also added a new Documentation called "wpDataTables Developer’s Handbook" (wpdatatables.com/developers/), where our devs will keep adding more examples over time. And, of course, you can check our Video examples on some chart callbacks on this TH-cam channel. We will keep adding more examples over time. Every chart exposes several options that customize its look and feel. Charts usually support custom options appropriate to that visualization. wpDataChart callbacks allow adding options that are available in Google Charts API, Highcharts API, and Chart.js API. All necessary resources are available in charts engines API (depends on which one you use). Every engine has a different approach to chart settings. In wpDataChart callbacks, you have to adopt those settings to the wpDataChart object (you can take a look at examples for each engine in our documentation(wpdatatables.com/documentation/information-for-developers/wpdatacharts-callbacks/), and also in the Support help center(wpdatatables.com/help/faq/). A huge number of examples for any area of programming can be found on stackoverflow.com (typing your problem in google and at the end add "site: stackoverflow.com" and Google will search only that website). Also, a lot of examples of charts, chart settings, and customization can be found on jsffidle.net (typing in google for example "line chart highcharts jsffidle") I hope that helps.
@@wpDataTables thank you. Do you have any suggestions or example about Chart.JS Callback for display data labels on pie chart, line chart and column chart please give an idea for me.
@@SebaVeron1984 Hello, For Chart.JS, you will see an example of a custom hook on this Page : wpdatatables.com/documentation/information-for-developers/wpdatacharts-callbacks/. In that example, we show how to remove X and Y Axes and grid for Chart.js column chart. We currently don't have specific examples for the options you requested here, but we will continue to add more examples to our Documentation and Videos over time. You can find available options at Chart.js API Reference : www.chartjs.org/docs/latest/. So, you first need to find the options you need on the Chart.JS API documentation. Then, you can modify our Chart JS example hook/callback to change the options for your specific use case. Please refer to the fully detailed reply above where we shared more details and resources which you can research online to find similar examples, etc. We hope that helps.
Good video!
Awesome video and discounts as well! 💪
Great, I was waiting for your BF sale - Gonna grab some add-on licences with the discount.
Thank you for the awesome discounts! 🤘
wpDataTables truly provides the option to do lots of things without coding if you don’t know how to code (or don’t want to invest the time), while keeping the customization flexibility if you know how to tweak things under the hood. Thanks for the tutorial!
niiice, I wasn’t exactly sure how this worked 👍
Awesome Video. Thank you for the example!
It is still very useful thank you so much
Thanks for explaining what the different lines do - code is much easier to understand like that. Great job!
Hello, please advise how to draw 2 lines, upper and lower lines of what you have shown in this video?
Hello, Using wpDataChart callbacks requires a certain level of programming skills and our included support refers only to advice. To achieve your goal, you would need to modify our example to add another trend line. Great video, but please make the music volume lower next time🔉
Great! Thanks!
Is it possible to have a shortcode to display a table using a dynamic url? (json) (And eventualy get a cache for it). It's for making like a dynamic historical meteo widget, from gps coords from posts.
Hello, We are not understanding all the details of the use-case you described exactly, but our Support can ask you some additional questions to clarify everything, then they can advise you if this is possible. Please open a Support ticket here tmsplugins.ticksy.com/ and one of our agents will ask you additional questions to confirm exactly what your goal is, then they will advise you in full details. If you don't have a licence, you can open a Pre-Purchase ticket here, so you won't have to input any licence key tmsplugins.ticksy.com/submit/#100010481 For example, if you have this data stored in your WP Posts and wish to pull it, this can only be done via custom SQL Query based Tables. Or if you have the data stored on some API - Then you can try our Nested JSON method. Please check this Documentation which includes TH-cam Video tutorials how it works wpdatatables.com/documentation/creating-wpdatatables/creating-wordpress-tables-from-nested-json-data-with-json-authentication/. 3. In regards to a cache option - We are not sure what you mean exactly. We have this feature "Cache and Auto update Cache", please check it our here : wpdatatables.com/documentation/table-features/caching-data-and-auto-update-cache-in-wordpress-tables/ As mentioned, it is best if you can open a Support ticket and elaborate more there, so our Agents can advise in full details. Kind regards.
be nice if you replied to support tickets! PAID CUSTOMERS SHOULD BE REPLIED TOO!
Hello, We sincerely apologise if you experienced long waiting time on your ticket. Can you please send us a link to your ticket or confirm the ticket's ID number, so we will check with our Support on the status on your ticket? Thank you.
One small clarification - highstock does require a license for commercial usage if you use it separately, but wpDataTables has its users covered with its license. It’s a great added value!
I remember Highstock being requested since long ago, kudos to the team to delivering it to wpDataTables users, and thank you for the very thorough demonstration!
Hey Aleksandar, nice video, you are very clear and easy to understand, thank you, cheers Wolfgang
Thank you for all these very useful new features. You the best plugin and best team, keep going!
The unique URL for each record is great for my use-case.
Loving the Parent > Child table relation options!
Gotta figure out how to pull this off on my pages... looks cool!
The pricing on this Gran Turismo is crazy! Thanks for the great tutorial!
What about many to many relationships between two tables using foreign keys? Is it possible to configure?
Hello, Apologies for not replying to this comment sooner. Thank you for your patience. With our foreign key column relation feature, at the moment it is limited to only one-to-one relation, it is not possible to have one-to-many or many-to-many relations in a foreign column. That is why the editor input type is limited to only 'single value selectBox' for any foreign key column. You can make a future development suggestion, but we can't say an ETA on it. Please feel free to search on our suggestions page (features.wpdatatables.com/), to see if someone may be already suggested this feature. If you can't see it, feel free to add your suggestion there, and as more people vote, the feature will move higher on the priority list. You can certainly follow our changeLog if you'd like(wpdatatables.com/help/whats-new-changelog/), where we state any changes/new features/bug fixes during updates; and our newsletter(wpdatatables.com/newsletter/), so you're informed about new features, bug fixes, freebies, etc. At the moment, the only way to have a 'one-to-many' relation can be through our Master-Details add-on functionality, if you make a Parent > Child table relation, then a Child Table can render multiple rows which match the row ID selected from the Parent Table. You can check more on that on this Page : wpdatatables.com/documentation/addons/master-detail-tables/. Kind regards.
I probably found a bug. After I added a fixed header and removed it again, the table isn't at full width after refreshing the page. Instead it is 60% width and after scrolling down a little bit and back up, the table goes to fullwidth again. Edit: I just discovered that the problem is "solved" by turning off the option of horizontal scrolling. Of course that is not what I want. Could you help?
Hello, We can't seem to reproduce this issue. Can you check do you have our latest version 6.7.1 installed? We did have a bug for a similar behaviour, when a table was vertically scrolled, it was changing the width like that, only in cases when the Fixed header was involved, but it got fixed in later versions. If you have the latest version, then we should investigate. In that case, please open a Support ticket here tmsplugins.ticksy.com/ and one of our agents will ask you additional questions to confirm exactly what your goal is, then they will advise you in full details. If you don't have a licence, you can open a Pre-Purchase ticket here, so you won't have to input any licence key tmsplugins.ticksy.com/submit/#100010481. Kind regards.

Nice Video, thank you!
Cool tutorial, it clarified some details on Placeholder use-cases. Keep up the good work!
Thank you for the video. It helped me understand this part of wpDataTables a bit more. I have a question about how to use variables to pass a value to a URL link. I have a large database of auto racing events and statistics. When I query a race season schedule, for example, the result contains some columns which I hide from the viewer and contain an ID number. Like an ID number for the specific race results, the track location, and winning driver id. I want the visible columns for the race, track, and driver to be a clickable URL which directs the viewer to a different wpDataTable containing more information about that specific id chosen. For example, my current hand-coded PHP ends with something like "race_results.php?rid=2024.LM15" or "driver_details.php?did=136" or "track-detail.php?tid=4" which all include the relative ID # from the original query column which is hidden from the viewer. So far I'm struggling with this and my site is a mix of wpDataTables and links to pages outside the WordPress environment.
Hello, We are not sure what you are trying to achieve exactly, in terms of, if you plan to edit each cell manually and make custom dynamic links which are pre-filtered for a specific column value via URL parameter; For URL pre-filtering via column filters, check this Page : wpdatatables.com/documentation/table-features/global-search-via-url/ Or you can try our Transform value to make custom links, too; you can see it on this link wpdatatables.com/documentation/table-features/transform-value/ Another approach - if you wish to create a Parent - Child relation between two tables, and you can set this up to redirect to a Template Page for 'more details', for example a user clicks to choose a row from the parent table - then based on the row ID chosen, it can redirect to a Master Details Template Page, and render a Child Table, which is filtered to only show rows relevant to that chosen row ID. For that, please check our Master Details Parent - Child relation feature on this link : wpdatatables.com/documentation/addons/master-detail-tables/ If you have any additional questions, please open a ticket and write to our Technical Support, they can help with this. In case if you are a wpDataTables premium user, please open the ticket on this link tmsplugins.ticksy.com/submit/#100004195 If you don't have an active licence, just open a pre-purchase ticket on this link tmsplugins.ticksy.com/submit/#100010481 and it won't ask for licence code. Kind regards.

Hi guys, i want to buy your plugin but the buttons and the prices dont working. how can i contact with you?
Hello, Apologies for replying so late to this comment. Can you please try with different browsers and see if one of them works? Also try clearing cache and cookies of your browser - see if that helps. We are not able to reproduce any issues with the purchase buttons and/or prices not working. If you still can't solve it, please open a ticket and write to our Technical Support, they will help you as quickly as possible. Since you don't have an active licence yet, just open a pre-purchase ticket on this link tmsplugins.ticksy.com/submit/#100010481 and it won't ask for a licence code. Kind regards.
Thank you for these very useful updates, you are the best plugin and the best support team!

Placeholders are very powerful! Thank you! 🙏
Hi, I created a selectbox and set the table for fron-end editing.. but the selectbox is not working in front-end.. only in back end.. please help
Hello, If dropdowns are not working on front-end, but they do on back-end, that is a conflict on your front-end, the Theme or another Plugin is preventing our dropdowns on Page. 1. Please try this first : Go to the main plugin settings, and disable/uncheck option "Include full bootstrap front-end". Then refresh the page with the table, and check if dropdowns are now working. 2. If that does not fix the issue, please open a ticket and write to our Technical Support, they can help with this. All great except for the uploading part. WordPress gives me an error every single time saying that I can't upload an .XLS/.XLSM file type.
Finally got it to upload but I keep getting a header is different error. They are exactly the same. I've tried .csv and .xlsx
I just deleted the table and started over again. It did not work for me.
@@Littlemakeuplotofjesus Hello, Firstly, our sincere apologies for writing so late to this comment. 1. For headers being different - Can you please check what is the origin Header name versus the Displayed header name? For each Column, it is checking against the 'origin Header name'. 2. One more important factor : Are you including the wdt_ID column in your source Excel? If you are updating an existing Manual Table and if you try to include any of our auto-generated 'premade columns' like wdt_ID, or wdt_created_by, wdt_created_at, wdt_last_edited_by and wdt_last_edited_at; in that case, it will fail to import. So please check and ensure that you only use your custom Columns in the source Excel file which is used for importing of the 'replace rows with source data' and exclude any of these 'premade manual columns' because they will auto-populate with auto-assigned wdt_ID and auto-asigned data for the user who uploaded the file and the time, when it was uploaded, etc. If you still can't isolate the issue, please open a Support ticket here tmsplugins.ticksy.com/ and one of our agents will ask you additional questions to confirm exactly what your goal is, then they will advise you in full details. If you don't have a licence, you can open a Pre-Purchase ticket here, so you won't have to input any licence key tmsplugins.ticksy.com/submit/#100010481. Kind regards.

Is it possible to add buttons in table?
Hello, Yes, you can easily add a link looking as a button to your Simple table. When you edit the table on the back-end, first click/mark the cell (one or more cells) you wish for the button. Then, hit the "insert link" tool at the top right in the Table Tools. When you click on this, a new modal will appear, where you can add a link, and text to hyperlink the link. You can also choose if the link will open in a new tab, make “nofollow”,”noreferrer” or “sponsored” link, and if it is going to appear as a button. Please check more details on the Simple Table documentation : wpdatatables.com/documentation/creating-new-wpdatatables-with-table-constructor/creating-a-simple-table-with-wpdatatables/#simple-tools-insert-link. You can also see an example of a Simple Table with buttons, if you go to "Create a new Simple Table", then scroll down and find "templates". The first template has some buttons, so you can generate that table example and check how it looks, then apply the same principle to your table. You will find other simple table example templates there, too. If you need any assistance for that, please open a ticket on our Support Platform : tmsplugins.ticksy.com/. Thank you.
what if the api url has many roots? Can I get all the roots into one table?
can you describe ( now its 2024) how to add data to existing table with data, using the upload file method. the parser gives many different errors depending on how it was setup? how many columns(wpdatatable has its own columns so its a bit confusing if you need to modify your data to suit wpdatatables, or whether wpdatatables will allow for your convenience).
Really good video!!!
