hello,thanks for the tech answer.well on ebay they sell the exact hard drive, same serial#,if you take the circuit board off and replace it on the deffective drive,will it work normally and not keep spining fast and get hot on the center where the large IC chip is,thanks for you r help.,dan,,

hello tech,,what a great learning video,,I really found out some basics I did not know,,maybe you can answer a hard drive question for me,office max could not help me on this,,I have 3 drives,my original,a seagate,my 2nd a western,3rd a western,,my last one spins,then I see the files,audio,photos for ,say a minute,then it goes out, the circuit board gets warm to hot at the center where the square IC chip is,this is the same for the other hard drives,can you tell me something specific,is the arm inside have to be reset to the start position,,or is the circuit board have a deffective part,,thanks for any help on this,dan diorio...

is That a LEVEL 2 Technician, he sure did a " RE-COVER" on that Drive .. first opened it, did a bit of fiddling and then closed it back again. "ReCOVER" lol
