    there was a guy who wanted to hire me, i went to the interview, it went great, he said we are going to start soon, meanwhile he asked me to give some advise on their marketing funnel, it was a bit dodgy but i did it anyways, 1 week later i didnt hear anything from him so i reached out, he said he is firing his marketing team to open the budget for me, cool. 2 weeks later i reach out again just to be told that he has fired the marketing team and now needs to speak to investors to get the fund for hiring me, 2 weeks later i reached out, he said he has not met them yet(even tho he was supposed to in a few days) and will let me know in a few days, and again i reached out and he said he is waiting for the answer but lets start already and asked for more work, i did the job and never heard from him again. i also noticed that his marketing team was still working for him. i learned that i needed to screen the red flags early on and smell his bs right away and ,,,, i did not, which has brought me confusion and saying no to other opportunities, the moral of the story is having no client is better than having a bad client.

    • @HeyAdamGrasso
      @HeyAdamGrasso 14 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Your story is probably more common than people care to admit 😔 Bad clients can give you more stress than the money you get from them. I imagine with your story if you already had a bunch of clients you were working with, the red flags with this particular client would have been more clear earlier on. I've definitely suffered from being blinded by scarcity when a client and I really weren't a good fit for one another at all.

    I had already known you before the viral Apple breakdown video. I can’t believe I watched through this whole video and you didn’t even look at the camera. Please do not delete that video else I might have to download it to my computer. Honestly, I agree with you and also feel like there’s 1 or 2 ways to go about TH-cam: one is make content that makes you feel good about yourself wether it is simple setup, topic you want to talk about but don’t care about the views in anyway till your ideal audience find you or two make content that your audience want and see the numbers go boom 💥

    • @HeyAdamGrasso
      @HeyAdamGrasso 4 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Thanks :) I feel like the ultimate combination is making both types of videos. Video that are super personal were you don't really care about the view count, and then videos that are more targeted to a certain audience with the intention to get views. As long as I can enjoy making each type of video, I'll be happy :)

    Hey Adam, I want to say I haven't watched all this video yet but it really resonates with me and my frustrations with TH-cam as well. Honestly I didn't discover you from the apple video but another video you broke down with workflow and inconsistency because it's my biggest struggle and I subscribed Knowing you were still a small TH-camr. I have been told by many other creators when a video like your apple pops we should make another similar to that video... Only if it doesn't fit what you feel passionate about then we just got subs from people who truly don't watch our content. Like you mentioned wishing we had a button to unsubscribe people. Anyway I'm here with you and gonna finish listening to this video because I have more patience than others. Also I love the Skyward Sword!

    I forgot to say this the first time I watched this video, but I was thinking that all these productivity """hacks""" aren't supposed to convert you from unwilling to willing, they're only meant to convert you from just-enough-willing to abundantly willing to do your tasks. I don't think there's any productivity cure for a complete lack of clarity/will (I say clarity because when you absolutely KNOW you have to do something, there's no matter of will. You just do it, it's unquestionable.) As for the cases where these hacks are applicable, I'd say they are 70%+ personal and 30% generally effective. Some just suit some people more than others This is just me brainstorming using the understanding I have of my own motivation history

    • @HeyAdamGrasso

    #24 I don't believe in luck rather I believe in serendipity Serendipity can involve mystery and intention, and can be an active process of connecting the dots and taking action. For example, serendipity can involve seeing opportunities that others don't, or reframing unexpected events as something positive.

      Yeah, that's an excellent way to reframe things. I guess luck could be considered as something we think we can control, or rather, something that's an idealised version of our future hopes and desires. But Serendipity is more controllable and can always lead you somewhere in the ball park of where you wanted to go, but just not via the path you intitally thought you'd take to get there.
