A couple of points: Dawgnation has been wrong many times in the past...many_FACT. Colbie Young has another year of eligibility due to the recent JUCO ruling case_FACT. The fact Arian Smith has more receptions and yards than the receivers you've mentioned shows how they aren't special or great, so why overpay...just to get someone? Didn't last year's haul of receivers and their lack of production teach something? The portal closing doesn’t mean you can't choose a team after that date. At this point, at the receiver position, we don't know the numbers. Meaning, the number of receivers staying. I think the roster number is 10 under the 85 scholarship number. Heck, we don't even know if Carson Beck is coming back. By the way Dawgnation isn't that great. Look at its subscriber numbers. This kinda reminds me of when fans complain about commitment numbers in April.

How many programs outside of LSU, OSU, and Alabama have produced more WRs and TEs in the first 3 rounds this decade than UGA? I would count the transfers like AD Mitchell, Burton, etc. since they were recruited by UGA. They also just brought in 2 TopTier receivers this cycle. Only so many balls to go around for a diva position.

Overreaction. Arian has more receptions and yards than most of these guys--put that in perspective. Meaning, who should spend 7 figures on mid-round NFL talent? Desperate programs. UGA has brought in Wims, Colbie Young, RaRa, Humphrey, M. Jackson, Arik Gilbert, Lovett, Cager, and maybe one or two I've forgotten. Maybe they have taken some valuable information from these transactions.

The thing you're missing about Nebraska and Key is a couple things: 1. They have a solidified QB for next year, UGA does not really have an arm as talented as Dylan right now in the boat. 2. They just hired Key's WR Coach away from Kentucky to be their WR coach. 3. Someone connected to Key said that NIL isnt gonna play that big of a role in his recruitment, he preferred relationships/facilities and development for the NFL over the bag (Does it still matter, yes, but for him not as much) Nebraska just opened up their new $100M facility for their athletes, and that shit is GORGEOUS and has state-of-the-art everything... and from what it seemed like... Key had a relationship with Dylan immediately.. ALSO the Nebraska staff is FILLED with NFL experienced coaches or Ex NFL Players (Bradden, Rhule, Raiola, Shorts all have NFL ties as a player or coach)
