Very interesting video. I love those little horses. They are hardy, intelligent animals. I've always been stuck on quarter horses but as I get older, I feel like I would like to own a different breed. I've landed on Icelandic horses. Thanks for the informative video.
I want to buy some Icelandic horses as well but I want the bigger version and yet not wanted to mix with any other breed,what’s your 2 cents on this?
There is not really a bigger version, 14 hands is the top size, most likely! It's me, I am the smaller version, that makes the horses look to be a bigger version...LOL

The singer is the daughter of my sister Sina Rumpe, the album is not published it is her work for her dissertation.
When do you start working with young Horses ?
All my young horses are under saddle by now... except one girl that I will keep for myself!

only sometimes, sure not a younger one, but some get pretty easy going after under the saddle for a few years, just never consider a young horse for a beginner. A beginner needs to learn from a older or settled horse, and a young horse needs to learn from a person that *knows horses very well *!

Yes i have a Bed and Breakfast and guests can book a ride...
I just can not do anymore for beginners, my old horses are getting too old to carry weight, so you need to be a intermediate rider for a trail-ride

Jenny Dalvik Hello Jenny, thank you for liking it. Yes I have been breeding with two 14 hands breeding mares, that did give me bigger babies, especially Haukur the dark grey one he is 14 1/2 hands...big people here the Americans, so bigger horses are better for them, but I also have some smaller ones, only 13,5 hands. The song is very lovely it is composed and produced last year by my sisters daughter Sina Rumpe in Switzerland, she made a whole CD all by herself, it was her work for her College Degree. There where not all that many CD's and they all went fast, it is not available in the stores.
Your video is great, really makes me want to come say hello to you and your horses and maybe fall in love with a horse. I agree not spooky it's the most important thing and also not lazy. A good listener and wanting to be ridden, we all dream of this horse :-)
