Hello, i love ur series before i buy just one question, how do you work out by how much the planks near the bow must be narrowed....
I confess that I did this more or less by feel. Like you, I did give it some thought, but when my calculations showed that the plank had to be tapered to 2.37 mm, for example, it was difficult to really keep to this over the entire planking. So I proceeded step by step and made new decisions after each plank. The only thing I made sure of was that I did the same thing on both sides.
Hello again, thank you very much for your answer, it makes a lot of sense. I guess the point is to keep the lower end of the planks parallel with the keel due to the curvature so that it closes aligned. Thank you again the love you put into your your work admirable. Marcus

Beautiful work Wolfgang, thank you very much for the detail on the installation of all those little pieces (I don’t now what they are called), the manual is simply not very helpful, how many did you use?, the manuals said there where supposed to come 95, I see you only got 87 and I just got 85. Thanks again!!
Thank you very much. If I add up all the ones from the construction plan, I get 82 (if I haven't forgotten any). I have distributed all the rest on the bow.

hello, ive been searching for the wood cutter you use. I built the prinz eugen and cut all my strips with a knife, and that cutter would of saved time. where is it sold and whats its actual name. thanks

VERY GOOD TEACHER FOR ME. AFTER THE 2 VIDEOS WITH SANTA MARIA, I MADE THE MODEL WITHOUT PURCHASING ACCESSORIES (LESS THAN 12 PIECES OF RAM'S HEADS). I BOUGHT ALL THE MATERIALS FROM HORBACH AND CUT AND PROCESSED THEM ON A WOOD LATHE

Das Takelgarn von OcCre ist mir zu fusselig, das kann man ohne wachsen nicht verwenden. Bisher habe ich immer die Garne von Amati verwendet. Für das stehende Gut habe ich diesmal aber etwas besseres gesucht und bei "Modellbau Takelgarn" gefunden. Es ist allerdings nur in braun erhältlich. Das Takelbesteck gibt es bei Artesania Latina.
@@wolfgangzinn Das stimmt! Für die Takelage der Bounty benutze ich ordentlich Bienenwachs. Und dann klebt das Garn an der Pinzette! 😁

The ship is looking incredible ! You made tying the ropes to the pins look so much easier than when I did it. I had to mute the microphone due to the swearing 😅

Hi! Congratulations for your professionalism! If you use a cyanoacrylate glue that does not block the micro cannula and keeps the rigging knots flexible, please tell me the brand and model. Thank you!
Thank you very much. Unfortunately, my superglue gets as hard as all the others. But the long cannula really only rarely clogs up. The glue hardens due to moisture and there is no air exchange in the cannula, so I can leave the bottle without a cap.

Wolfgang, I notice you use "clou hartol oil" on your build but I do not see that for sale in the US. I am assuming it is a teak or linseed oil. If so, what do I use to cut the oil to gain the proper consistency?
Sorry, I have no idea. The colourless oil I used had the right consistency for processing. I always decanted the required amount into an extra container. The rest then hardened at some point.

Wolfgang, absolutely superb! I wish I had a part of your talent where it comes to rigging. I saw the CA in use but I also saw times where you sewed the sail to the yards and used white glue to secure the knot. I'm trying to learn all the steps and basics to produce a better end results. Thank you!!!
Thank you very much. Yes, the choice of glue is (almost) a science. My simplest rule is: if it doesn't have to hold immediately and can dry, then white glue, especially with light-coloured yarn. For brown or black yarns, superglue often works, or if a dark discolouration of the natural yarn is not noticeable.
