I Never forget, I asked my neighbor George who lived there for 60yrs said it won't flood, I listened, sure enough I looked out the door water was already 5ft gushing. I helped my elderly neighbors out of their home. 1 hour later my home was Submerged in 15 ft of water. It was ocean water & some sewage from below. Lost my home forever! On Midland. RIP Bobby! 🌊💪🏼🙏😥

I never forget! I kept posting pics & vids on social Media, Facebook etc, until some of my friends attached the videos & sent them to the News, cuz on the news there was no mention of Staten Island devastation, but only of Manhattan. It truly is the forgotten borough. Lost my home to 15ft of water, on Midland!

When I was 2 years old I lived here btw I was born in 2010 so yes I was in the horrible hurricane. I don't remember barely anything but my mom told me what happened, me and and my sister were hanging on to my mom and my mom was trying to keep hold of us then we ended up hanging on a fence waiting for help, then boats came and saved us. Our house was the only one standing on the block and R.I.P to the family that risked their life to save their dog I'm not sure if the mom survived but I know the little boy didn't at least that's what my mom told me. We all know that the hurricane was a rough time for everyone but here we are today Midland beach is still standing and is a place I will never forget.

I live in Tottenville - a father and his daughter were killed around the block from me along with a rescue worker who tried to save them. Terrible memories from that storm.

It brakes my hart to see my old house 55 and see the old lady Ruth god rest her sole and the vet house the got burned down . Its 2018 and Braden and colonial on hempseed is still devastated

Fortunately my neighborhood didnt flood during sandy. I do feel bad for these neighborhoods though.

Staten Island has a bunch a racist who live there so that they can be all by themselves. They keep the people of color in one hood ONLY. You see racism and you hear it when they outnumber another ethnic group. Now they want help from anybody regardless of color...lmfao....go pick up cans!!!

This is my home this is my island........every one never help us before but then thay feel bad when thay see it on the news......fuck every one it's just the way we feel

my friend's old house......used to hang out with each other everyday. now he lives on the other side of the island. its so hard for us to chill. were lucky if we see each other once a week now. hes in the video too. i laughed when i heard him call someone an asshole in spanish lol. typical danny.
