Slow is smooth and smooth is fast. I love that quote. Great content!
now those are the hands of a dealer. Rings included.
Are those weighted speed cheques? Beautiful to work with. One casino I worked at went cheap, decided to leave the weighted disc out. Dealing craps and pushing chips on roulette was a NIGHTMARE 😂 To make things worse, all of the break ins trained with clay. We were so busy we had to stagger place bets on top of each other, we would have 20 people placing bets on each end. Thank you for bringing the memory back! 😊😊😊😊
This deserves many more views. Beautiful to behold the raw skill on display and a great explanation. Thank you kindly!

can you please do this again but in pounds
@@jake7970 The conversations are the same in dollars and pounds. In the US nickels are $5 - £5 Quarters are $25 - £25 (Pony) The colours may vary Black = 100 pink/Purple 100. It's been over 30 years since I dealt/floored in the UK Do you still run 25p, 50p and £2 games?
Thank you. I will watch several times and probably get it.
This is what I was looking for. The cut comes natural to me maybe because I played musical instruments and have "feel" in the fingers. But the spread...it's hard. Thank you sir, I'll practice.
Thanks for the video!! He mentioned pushing down on the cards into the felt so the padding of your fingers and not the tips of the fingers can grasp the cards. Given that, how important is it to have a pro table (felt plus padding) versus shuffling on a hard surface, like a dining room table or whatnot?
All Casino tables have a slight padding in order for the Dealer to shuffle and pick up chips. The padding makes life easier on the finger tips. To practice at home the ironing board is the best surface, it's adjustable and has the cover on top. A wooden table or work surface is difficult because you can't control or pick up the the bottom of the deck. Putting a towel down, or mouse pad helps with this issue.
@@JackBlackCasinoDealerSchool thank you. How much would you charge to teach me how to shuffle a 6-deck blackjack shoe the way Las Vegas casinos do nowadays?
@@overkillblackjack2910 I will make one and post it.
@@JackBlackCasinoDealerSchool Oh, wow, great, thanks! My biggest concern is the interleaving of cards (as well as propper plugging and box cutting). I have read some numbers on how many cards professional dealers interleave. Frankly, the numbers seemed unrealistic. That is, in my experience, it seems real casino dealers dont put a lot of effort into that. (And maybe you're familiar with the study showing it takes at least 6 shuffles or whatnot to randomize a SINGLE deck, let alone 6 decks.). So, when I learn how to professionally shuffle (and then deal myself shoes to get an idea of how my blackjack strategies might do in a real casino environment), I don't want to 'overshuffle.' (I also dont want to undershuffle.). But I guess it might be better to overshuffle if anything. That is, if my strategies work when I overshuffle the cards, then the strategies may work a tad better when casino dealers that I play against for real money shuffle a bit less thoroughly.
I am a Casino dealer and I’m looking for a place where I can deal poker and table games while keeping my own tips, I’m willing to relocate and I was wondering if you knew any places any state doesn’t matter thank you. I’m 20 years old.
Here in CA only 4 Casinos hire at 18 that I know off. Casino Morongo, Casino Pauma, Chumash and Barona. (Barona is pooled.) It's rare for a Casino Dealer in CA to Deal Poker and BJ. Table games dealers must deal the following: Black Jack, Baccarat, Pai Gow, 3 Card, UTH, Crazy 4, let it ride or Mississippi. Pitch and Roulette are required in most. Poker is Texas hold 'em, limit/no limit, Omaha Hi/Lo and most places PLO
Been looking for a breakdown like this forever! Thank you!
I'm glad it helped.
6:5 blackjack is a scam.
Great tutorial! No flash, no snarky comments, just simple blue collar instructions. Thanks for uploading this.
Why? Is this a finger coordination traing thing?
Flipping Chips I use only on the Craps and Roulette table. The spinning part is for fun. 😊
i love to gamble
😲
Thanks for this. Love your accent!
Thank you! 😃
@@JackBlackCasinoDealerSchool I'm taking a dealing class and this method has literally saved me! It's versatile and I've been showing my classmates how to do it this way as well.
These are EXCELLENT tutorials. 🙏🏾🙏🏾
Thank you.
i love you’re content
Thank you.
Awesome tutorial mate! How many hours a day would you recommend to practice chip cutting at home?
I used to practice on the ironing board for at least an hour a day.
@@JackBlackCasinoDealerSchool Ty for quick reply!
I’m learning to deal cards for my Asmr channel and this was helpful Wish me luck ❤❤
I don’t really see why popping open a can of soda would be a bad analogy, the motion isn’t at all dissimilar.
I was told the cards should not face the dealer
On Poker the cards face the Players. On Table Games the cards face the Dealer.
The best!💙
lol you lost me at color
Great instructions! I wish to add one thing. When picking up the deck with the one card, I was taught to have the cards face the players and not towards the dealer. But, it's for Poker dealers not blackjack dealer. Reason being, poker dealers shouldn't see the bottom card so they can not cheat. Blackjack dealers are ok because you don't want the players to cheat.
Had trouble with the riffle at first since I’m used to doing it on the short side and bending the cards pretty far. But that one little comment about the cards going through your thumbs and not the other way around really helped. On top of that, I was able to perfectly cut the deck multiple times in a row the way you showed. Easily the best tutorial I’ve seen.
I was a BJ dealer in Vegas and I dealt at 6:5 tables, and I have a question for you. I still have my payouts paper and it says that whatever the player puts down for there bet, if they win it’s the amount plus half (ex. If they play with $5 then the payout would be $7.50 or $10 would be $15). I am confused now and was wonder if you can just clarify for me.
On a 6-5 table: $10 wins $12 $15 wins $18 On 3-2 (The bet plus half) $10 wins $15 $15 wins $22.50
Your doing regular Black Jack payouts 3-2 10 wins 15
I went to this dealers school in Vegas called Crescent School of Gaming and Bartending last year when I lived in Downtown LV for 2 years and was a blackjack dealer for Circa/Golden Gate (If you haven’t been to Vegas, I recommend going to downtown cause everyone is always at the strip and prices at the tables in downtown are cheaper and more fun, in my opinion. Anyways The instructors at the gaming school were hardly ever there to teach us (even though they said they are open and you can come in anytime from 10am-8pm everyday and can come in any day you want as often as you want and I went like 5-6 days a week to learn and was always told the teachers didn’t come in so classes are canceled. When they were there, they didn’t explain it near as well as he does. I had to learn blackjack mostly on my own (with help from my grandparents cause they go to Vegas like 3-4x a year) and the shuffling was the hardest thing for my to learn cause I got so use to shuffling the regular way not casino style. This video really helped me. Moved out here to Cali and live in Menifee. I saw this school and really want to go to it so I can get back into the casino life of dealing. Sorry for rambling but I just wanted to say thanks for making videos for those of us who either need a refresher or just want to learn for fun.
My pleasure. I do open enrollment and open class, I'm in the school open to close. All the students have to test, and pass before moving on to the next level or the next game.
I loved this learned alot thank you so much
Ok this just got me more lost than I already was before trying to learn the payouts😩
Because he using dollar payouts for an example you need to listen 😂 two minutes in i look and see some random ass math I’m like instant no! This isn’t the first lesson this is like side b) of 5
Thank you for this wonderful explaination of Blackjack payout.
well well if it isnt my old room mate from are days with AA...how are we my old china...nice vid by the way....Im in chile....all the best Dougie James
Geezer, me and Bainsey were talking about you the other day. Email me and I'll give you are #s. Info@jackblackonline.com
So the procedure you just went through is exactly the same for double deck?
All Casinos have a different shuffle. For my Dealers, they break the Double deck in half, move them so the back corners are level with the rack. Break in half again, going straight out, and in front of the original two piles. Shuffle top left and bottom right together. (Shuffle shuffle strip shuffle) place in the middle and repeat with the two remaining piles. Place the second set on top of the first. Break this in half, one deck in each hand, and shuffle together. One time only. Offer the cut.
@@JackBlackCasinoDealerSchool this was extremely helpful. Thank you very much goodsir 🙌🏼

Actually to be a good mathematician visualisation is very important more important than mental maths. So who is really the math people?
Peter is The best instructor I have ever met. He make sure that you do perfectly.
Hi, I wanted to first day I NEVER leave comments but I felt so compelled to do so after watching so many of your videos. I'm an adult learner and am currently in dealer school beginning my second career. You are the first person who has the time to really breakdown the math learning process in a simple yet digestible way. Thank you, for your videos. From cutting cheques, shuffle cards you make things so easy. I wish your school was closer pease keep posting! I appreciate your knowledge and wisdom. 😊
Thank you, You can sign up and get a free, 3 day trial of my online video course. This will help you for the games your learning and the short cuts I use and teach my students Jackblackonline.com
Thank you!!
thanks man i appreciate your content!
I've always just gone with the regular riffle shuffle when playing cards, which I'm actually pretty good at, but decided to try this out for a new challenge.
Shuffle terrible, can read each single card
Not bad for her 2nd day learning to shuffle.
I assume spreading the cards like at the start doesn't work on a smooth table.
You are correct, put a tablecloth on, you might have to use two layers.
Great job
Do you have maybe a video from the very Fuckin beginning

Plz send me your mail id sir. Important matter disction to yours
For whatever reason I can not do the corner shuffle. It literally hurts my hands to hold it like he is doing in the video.
You are using muscles that you don't normally use, the key is no power. You need enough to stop the cards moving, but don't squeeze them. Leaning the hands into your thumbs, takes the pressure of the pinkies, and allows your thumb to roll under the cards.
