Boston Terrier Dog Clover Reading and Doing Math

What are you going to do for a finishing polish?
Dead dog
Wow!
Wow 🥰🥰
Ok its been over a decade - what's the trick!!!!!!!
OK Here's the whole true story. One day my daughter said she was going to teach Clover how to count. Several hours later she came back to me and stated she was successful. Obviously I was skeptical, but she would paw any number up to 5 flawlessly. I was quite amazed but she was a really very smart dog. She continued to teach her until she knew every number up to 9. Then, another random Saturday, she said she was going to teach her math. I thought to myself there is no way, but a very short time later she was doing simple addition of 2 numbers under 10. Now I imagine the dog must be following some visual cues that we are giving without knowing it, but she would do it for strangers too, very rarely failing. Also, I'm sure the dog is not doing math but just repeating the numbers in order. Then she said she was going to teach her to read the questions. I have no idea how she did this but it was great because one person would write the problem, and another person would hold the board without knowing the numbers and she still performed almost perfectly. In fact, most of her errors were due to her sliding on the floor while giving a big answer. It was pretty funny seeing neighborhood kids reactions when asking her a problem. So, long story short, there really is no trick that we were doing. Like I said I imagine she was picking up on some cues, but how would she do that if we didn't know the answer? I really don't know.
😀smart dog
I love Boston terriers they are super smart
Dang she's a smart cookie 🍪 🍀🔖
is clover still alive
Probably not. :(
Unfortunately she is not. She passed away a couple of years ago from a brain tumor. She was a really very incredible dog with tremendous personality.
Thought it said "doing meth" in the title.......

This is fake. Look at the girl’s hand. Every time she puts her hand back until the last time she hold the dogs paws.
That’s amazing!!!! Good job honey🤓
She's smarter than half of my high school class
Animals are smarter than most people.
Bostons are really people in little tuxedos

Hello, we are from SBS, S. Korea My name is Jiwon Ahn and I am currently working at a South Korean broadcasting center called SBS. I am part of a program called "SBS TV Animal Farm" and our team has been providing the Korean audience with numerous, interesting animal-related stories since 2001. I send you this message to ask for your permission to use the video as footage for our program; We have an opening section in our show where we collect animal videos from all over the world and show them to the audience. We came upon the video, "Boston Terrier Dog Clover Reading and Doing Math (th-cam.com/video/38mBMC3pAY8/w-d-xo.html)" and were wondering if we could include it in our upcoming weekly episode - all we need is your permission to use the video. We would greatly appreciate it if we could show this interesting video to the Korean audience. Thank you very much and we will be waiting for your reply. Please contact us through this E-mail and I hope to hear a positive answer from you. Have a Nice day. :) Sincerely, Jiwon Ahn (Seoul Broadcasting System "SBS")
Koreans are sick for eating dogs and cats.

Cute video! I have an eight month old Boston Terrier. Thank you for posting. :)
Danmmm! 😳👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Mine can count...Check out Riley the Mind reading Counting Boston..
Wooow hahaha
Cute but she is not counting sweety. She is reaching for your hand until you give her a little something to rest her paw on.
If that were true then why does the dog stop at the right answer?
Exactly, the dog knows when to stop.
Way to go Myth Busters... geez, just some dog tricks.
Yes, the girl begins the count with fingers extended straight but then raises her finger tips upward at the final count to stop the pawing. Good trick though ♥
www.akc.org/expert-advice/advice/dogs-understand-mathematics/ Actually, the AKC says dogs can absolutely do basic addition.
awesomeness right there!!
wow, that's awesome, clover is a good girl.
Really cool...
Wow I had a bosten I mean that's just wow!
Boston Terriers are the best.
It's an awesome trick indeed, but for those who doesn't know, it's not doing real math...he just do the "paw" thing till the owner tells him to stop....I know there's no voice command to stop in this video, but even a face or hand command is enough.
It appears she lifts her fingers slightly signaling the dog to stop. Cute though
awesom
hi wath si your name my name si hopekindley wath your name
Voice was added after video was made...haha
it looks like all he does is slightly lift his fingers after the dog does the named amount
