+Princess Allah Adaptation from the Kiss Land Album/ XO
what the weeknd song was this?
Adaption
mon morceaux preferer de regatta the blanc trop bon!
The%20Weeknd%20%3C3
The Weeknd brought me here ;) new favorite other than Roxanne :) ✘❦O
You're fucked up,think about surfing in clear blue water.
Weeknd shedding some light on The Police. Abel is a talented individual.
Am I sad because I listen to pop music or do I listen to pop music because I am sad? x
There is not a more beautiful way of describing suicide than this song. It breaks my heart and revives it every time I listen to it! x
Adaptation man!
I have never replied before to any other comment... oh and i never cry much.
Ok,..I'm an old dude but, a dude none the less. Did Waddi not help Linda Rhondstat, the Stone Ponies, and therefore the Eagles? Waddi is mentioned in the movie "FM" and although he is his own thing, I think (god help me if i'm saying something bad) he was a bit-player in a lot of good stuff. A polished guitar man. This song by the Police,.is out of control with respect to being "trend setting". All the tracks are other worldly,.drums??, rythem??,..lead??,.voice??,..umm, drums?? holy!who-R-you?
You got it. It's exactly that.
And Rock as well, you can't deny dude.
From the Wiki article of Edge of Seventeen: "Throughout the song a distinctive 16th note guitar riff is played by Waddy Wachtel, progressing through C, D, and E-Minor chords. During the bridge, the chords alternate twice between E-Minor and C. Wachtel claimed that a track by The Police called "Bring on the Night" was the inspiration for the riff."
'r you sure? anyway both bands/singers are great!
Never knew that but I completely hear it now...
This song is the inspiration and the basis for the riff in Stevie Nicks' "Edge of Seventeen".
Literally the best song in the world.
i believe it was 1980
saw them live in Athens 1981, got in the stadium with fake tickets(typical greek he hahaha)
Saw them in Buffalo a few years back, they opened up with an acoustic version of this song, it was a perfect start to the night
There seemed to be a lot of songs during the 80's referencing to "the night". I think the bands were all vying to get picked for some soundtrack to a beer commercial. This however is one of the better ones and stands on its own. In fact I think I used the line "bring on the night, I couldnt stand another hour of daylight" on the Miami hotel clerk when I asked her for a 230 am wake up call.
Just absolutely love the music!!! Miss it!!! Thanks for posting this!!!
@ColinJackson69 I agree!
Bring on the night, I couldn't stand another hour of daylight! What's the album?
The Police are truly a great band. As long as they continue to respond to the praise with the long list of bands they copied from it's gonna be good. The second they claim creative originality they go down the drain.++++ Stewart Copeland does have ideas and has progressed the music. Just fun music and worth going back every time.
That amazing old Fender Telecaster sorts it out on this track. For all the guitar geeks out there he plays the solo on the out of phase setting. He was given it by a student. I never have that kind of luck ?
Andy Summers know what a do with a guitar !
Funny thing,I heard this in a homedepot, made me feel old but I still banged out the lyrics in a terrible high falsetto, freaked out some people.
Gangsters poetry a wee bit more subtle than capping some bitch in the A to the Z. Music that has REAL instruments being played and performed with talent that left the planet musak with the invention of synthesis of sounds.... And hey cap the messenger coz bullet proof vests are chic.
@alderaforall It has always been there....you just noticed it!
another song by police i loved but so sad & i feel this way most days esp in the winter months.
@alderaforall now that you say it. Is it the rest of the band:??
@Rirrron cool dad
Really that pathetic is the commentaries of these types. Who is Cerati? That type I deform this great original song of Police.
my father had it on vinyl, gave it to me :D
YES YES!! I just posted this to my Facebook, about the comparison! They are similar, but this one is better, since the rhythm section is so much more interesting..........
This is the only song that makes me cry... i don't know why as I have never cried before to any other song
was such a fitting song in 24/7
Yeah it does sound like Stevie Nicks... the beginning of it does. I think this song came out first if I'm right.
it sounds like stevie nicks - edge of seventeen
brillant song brillante cancion la mejooor
the song is about gary gilmores execution. He had requestet that, following his execution, his eyes be used for transplant purposes.
