This covers all the emotions one feels at sea. You only have to cross the Atlantic once by ship to realize what a daunting voyage this must have been a few hundred years ago. This composition sets ones thoughts adrift and requires a few listens to really capture all that it contains. Then while you envision the past your must also think of the future and what awaits us in a few years or decades when Polaris is predicted to go supernova. For all the eyes that have looked to the sky and gained confidence in the direction Polaris has provided we as humans will see a very different sky in the not too distant future. May the spirit of adventure from the past direct us towards even more adventuresome journeys in the future.
