Yep I agree I wouldn’t like that as I was checked today being aroused by a stranger well by anyone unless it was my partner feels uncomfortable and I don’t know how to express myself it’s horrible but nobody cares what boys go through maybe I’m wrong? I wish I knew.

Maybe when boys are small, seeing a female doctor isn't a huge issue, but when they get into Middle school, High School, I am a FIRM believer that female NPs and Doctors should not be doing male sports physicals. Especially since boys have to fully expose their genitals. Males are NOT given the same modesty consideration as females. girls do not have to expose themselves at all in sports physicals. Most NPs and female doctors use chaperones ( that are supposed to be for the patients protection, but most males will get a FEMALE chaperone in their physicals because a male is not available). I cannot see where the presence of 2 females benefits a male patient when they have to expose themselves, often enough its highly embarrassing. Yet, you will NEVER EVER see 2 males in an exam with a female patient, yet they think its acceptable for 2 females in with a male. A lot of change needs to take place in this area.

I will grant you the short comment as I read the article that younger kids who are not yet aware of sex, and gender, and will gravitate to the "motherly type" you may have a point. HOWEVER, when they get older, I refute your article, as I said, they will not like having a female doctor or NP in their exam (with a female chaperone) as in 99% of exams where a chaperone is requested (by the female doctor) the chaperone will ALSO be female. Most Teens, and older adult men do NOT like this INVASION of their modesty and their privacy. Therefore FEMALES should NOT be doing these types of exams where boys have to expose their genitals. Its not right, and the medical system needs to address this issue, Female Doctors, and NPs, need to stay out, and away from boys physicals. Especially in Middle school, and high school.

Wow you are right!!!!! I had a checkup for a body exam and my genitals where the female doctor and the female chaperone were there I FELT EXTREMELY UNCOMFORTABLE!!! And my mom was there I wasn’t confused and didn’t anything about this until I had the nerve to look this up I’m only 16 and when the female doctor had to look and physically touch my genitals it felt arousing and extremely uncomfortable this doesn’t mean I liked it I just couldn’t tell what was right or wrong honestly I’d prefer a male doctor and to say this I think makes my point valid I do not like homosexuals though I respect that and I’m not one while I prefer a male doctor it’s not arousing and embarrassing and I have someone of my same gender because I wouldn’t feel aroused or anything I know you know more and I feel like an innocent but not so much anymore kid I wish I knew more sad how it’s not how it should be!!

No doctor should look at private parts except if there is a problem the parents mention. If that is the case,she she also ask the kid's permission and does not need to put on gloves because there should be no touching.
