It's possible I mean people consider Rocky 4 to be a Christmas movie too because the fight takes place in Russia on Christmas , it's even in a list of unknown Christmas movies

Technically, Die Hard is not a Christmas movie, it just takes place around Christmas. Batman Returns takes place around Christmas but again, Christmas is not the focal point of the movie so that's why they are not Christmas movies.
See I would argue that Christmas is baked into the plot of both. It fundamentally changes both movies to have it be anything other than Christmas
