We are currently rebuilding the Chrysler type 66 speedster recently and have just finished fabricating the majority of the steel body. We still have some fettling and have to build the boat tail but the next step is to start painting the frame. #classiccars #cars #vintagecars #engineering

Thank you thank you for being you without these events of history which is everything to the British people who we are and what we are as a culture. Fantastic regards from down under where they simply destroy all of their history never ending.
As a lifelong steam enthusiast, as well as a lover of all old mechanical transport, very many thanks for this. I well recall a 1903 White limousine in the first Brighton run that I saw, 1956. I look forward to future videos. Best wishes, Bill
The 1903 white limousine you saw all those years ago belonged to my grandfather, it was the only one ever built as a limousine, it’s now in the Lowman museum in Sweden .
@ Thannk you for that; it would explain why I've not seen it for a while. What a shame that the Louwmans don't bring it over instead of that certain Darracq, which I also saw the same year. Another steamer that I remember seeing then was a 1901 Lifu (the only survivor?).

@ I very much regret to say that I was only a twelve year old spectator back then. Another steamer that I remember from a very wet next year, 1957, was the Soame steam cart and it's one of the veterans that can be briefly seen near the beginning of the film Genevieve. I haven't seen it since but would love to; is it in the McAlpine collection? Another non-railway steam memory from that year is a rear view of a White tonneau approaching the roundabout by the then Palace Pier and flames could be seen beneath. A cry of consternation of "It's alight, it's alight" went up from those near me. I recall saying to Mum that it was nothing to worry about because it was a steam car but in retrospect think that the flames ought not to have been visible!

great project, and surrounded by other interesting machines. Gotta agree with the volume mixing and commentary/music comments tho. Please give us a bit more on what you are working on and a little less stock rock.
Out of interest, what is your overdrive unit you found. Is it a Warner. I have some data and maintenance sheets for one.

Only 22 sec in but talking and music volumes are on point. Congrats now you can listen to folks complain about the existence of music in the video.
The observation and assisting in the stripping and rebuild of the gearbox is a great experience. the best introduction into the Vintage world, something that will be remembered forever. It is a life changing skill and will have practical use , such as trouble shooting and analysis of assembly. A great choice of car as Chrysler proved itself as a strong and potential vintage car with success at Brooklands and Le Mans. A period SU and better exhaust with give it better tractability, A Le Mans body will be seen on period Brooklands picture. I salute your project. Greetings from NZ.

You'll get the hang of the audio eventually. The music is currently a lot louder than the speech. Try checking it out while wearing headphones. 😀
Yeah we are still working on it. We had mics but they were playing up and the music was turned right down while editing

Always good to see proper vintage vehicles! The inside of the gearbox might be interesting - mine just needed a wash out and fresh oil. Even the drip from its rear was fine once the felt had soaked up some fresh liquid.

Needs better audio mixing the voices are to low a volume to the music.
Ok, this is your first U TUBE efforts. When you add music in the background, KEEP it in the background. Dubbing in music TURN OFF AGC!!! Remember, the background is in the background.

I can forgive the poor commentary volume, but replacing it with full volume music is definitely a massive thumbs down for me. My eardrums have just shattered. Good restoration work though.
Yeah we are still learning and don’t really have the kit. We are working on mics. The music was turned down in the software but I agree it’s still way too loud
